Sometimes a tool impresses me. Then occasionally a tool will add a layer to that impressiveness. This one added a couple layers, and I'm really happy that I own this thing!Yes, I have a cheap 1/4" ratchet that I've used for decades, and it's great. But this... this is a whole 'nother level of sophistication and precision. I'm really impressed with the fit and finish of everything about this little ratchet - the itty bitty little selector lever for determining the direction of the ratchet looks like it belongs on a $100 "high-end ratchet" (though of course, a lot smaller). The amazingly clever extension that's included can be used as a 2" extension, or as a handle extension. The handle of the ratchet itself is also a 1/4" hex, so it can be used as a screwdriver-like tool as well (using the extension as an itty bitty little "breaker bar").It comes beautifully packed in a dense foam case that just adds to the feeling that this is a serious tool. Yeah, I now on an inch-per-dollar scale, it's a little pricey. But I know that every time I get to that fiddly little hardware that needs a 1/4" bit to loosen or install, I'll get a goofy grin reaching for this thing.Honestly, I'd say if you have a DIY wrench-twister in your life, and have a hard time figuring out what to buy them for a gift, you cannot go wrong with this. It's so well-done and unique that they might start carrying it around in their pocket just so they can get more opportunities to use it.

I end up doing a ton of tinkering on my sim racing rig as I am constantly trying to modify and improve the ergonomics of it as I add and remove different components, and while the L shaped allen wrenches work fine, sometimes I wish I could just use a little ratchet instead. That's where this little tool comes in. It is TINY. Tiny but mighty. You aren't going to be torquing anything down real tight with this, but it sure makes quick work of light duties in those tight spaces where there isn't a lot of room.It's kind of a specialty item, but I love it and have already used it quite a bit in the 2 days I have had it. Build quality seems very good: most tiny tools like this feel super cheap: very lightweight and usually lots of rattles but this seems to have some pretty tight tolerances. I am not really familiar with the manufacturer, but it looks like they are a London based company if that matters to you at all...Oh, and I also like that the handle can also double as an extension. This really does give you a few options when working in those super tight spaces. Seems like a small thing, but when you get to one of those spots where you have to back a bolt off that needs to travel an inch or more over fine threads and you have little to no space to work with, this little ratchet saves the day.Anyway, I love this thing. It works very well, and it packs up neatly in the little tool pouch I keep stored in the rear storage pocket of my seat. Easy recommendation for anyone looking for something that adds a little bit of convenience to small jobs.

This is taking tools to a new level. Between the size, the quality of manufacturing, and the innovation of the extension bar also being a t-bar (you gotta line up the marks on the bar with the white pips on the ratchet!), this is truly a step up in EDC. I found a set of shorter-than-usual bits (for situations with minimal clearance) and put them with these tools into a case for easy storage. Can't wait to pull this out for emergency chair repairs at my favorite karaoke place and watch everyone's jaw drop!
