I love this toy! It’s basically a sturdy cardboard cutout printed with color illustration of the animals, with holes that correspond to pom-pons of various colors. The kids sort out the fuzzy balls by color and size and simply poke them into the big and small holes with their fingers. It did take a little help to show 3YO grandson just how to press it in, but it was a low frustration and he quickly got the hang of it. Former first grade teacher here, and I know building hand and finger strength helps with pencil grip, handwriting and cutting later. What a fun way to address those needs integrated into a high interest activity. It takes just a few minutes to complete the picture- so it highly satisfying. Adults could even take turns inserting a size or color alternately, if your child needs a little assistance- at first. The best part is , you can poke out the balls and it’s ready for next time! You can also leave it in tact and display, if you desire… kit comes with string to hang each cutout. We like to play again and again, sometimes switching colors or making our own pattern. It’s somewhat open-ended. This is definitely a nice gift for a birthday party! Good value, for sure!

Fue un regalo y lo han disfrutado muchísimo, vale mucho la pena. Solo vienen 3 calcetines y demasiados accesorios decorativos por lo que valdría la pena adquirir dos paquetes para que puedan crear más marionetas. Excelente y muy didáctico.

Both kids (ages 4 and 2) loved making and playing with these. Comes with way more pieces than you’d need which are easy to apply (adhesive backs), and it’s easy for the kids to design and decorate their own unique sock puppets. Some of the pieces do lose their stick after a lot of play, but if you run out of eyes you can always use a donut instead.

The features were very cute on these puppets but nothing sticks for long especially if you play with them. I used the extra excessive strips they give you on almost everything I could (as they don’t give you many) and everything still fell off. So basically we have sock puppets with hair now and no other features

For whatever reason my 5 year old has been on a sock puppet kit. I suspect a fellow kindergartener brought one in and she has been hooked on the idea of sock puppets (even tricking me into making a remedial one because "we have to have one for school tomorrow"). As a last minute christmas idea, I found this kit and decided to give it a try. In the past I had been disappointed by the make at home kits (paint your own pottery, make your own necklace), but this kit is a real gem! It comes with 3 socks in awesomely vibrant colors, 6 large yarn poms (to use as hair or whatever else you can think of), googly eyes and LOTS LOTS LOTS of stick on accessories. The socks are super soft, and the stick on accessories (fins, tongues, wings, dimples) are super easy to attach. The resulting puppets, are very cute, super durable and overall a ton of fun to play with. These can easily be assembled by even tiny hands, but the large pom hair should be done by an adult as it requires using a large plastic needle to attach. I highly recommend this kit to even the uncraftiest for its ease of play and overall fun factor. I will be buying another one to tuck away for the next snowstorm or bad weather stretch.
