I used this to covert the separate lighting system from a school bus so that it could tow a standard trailer. School buses generally have separate brake and flasher lights, so I needed something easy to connect that would put the flasher and brake lights back together (left brake/flash and right brake/flash) so it could tow a standard trailer.Instructions are pretty clear and it would be very hard to misconnect anything, as it is pretty clearly labeled. I installed it within an hour and a half without any problems. I did cut off the 4 way connector as I wired it into a larger 7 way connector. So if you need to connect it up to a large connector, that is easy to do.This module does need +12v power provided to it for it to work, as it helps boost the power of the lights. There are other units that don't have a connection for +12v (which are usually a bit cheaper), but I had read tons of reviews saying that without the extra power, the lights on the trailer can be very dim during the day and be almost impossible to see properly. I didn't want that problem, so I bought this one with the extra power the extra couple of bucks.The only thing I would recommend is to buy some proper heat shrinkable connectors instead of the quick connectors that it comes with. Yes the connectors it comes with will work, but water/snow/salt over time will get inside of those and rust out the connection. You only want to do this once, so spend a couple extra bucks and get some better connectors.

Purchased and installed last fall(2023) on classic car.Worked as it should. Car put away for winter. Brought out in spring, issue with tail lights. The tail light converter faulted, not allowing brake lights to work, and activated right signal light to be powered on constant.Unit was installed using solder connections. Connections checked and good. Inputs good, but outputs not operating properly.Contacted seller for warranty replacement, well within the warranty period. Instead of replacing, they offer a $10 refund credit to purchase another one from them. Secondly, the seller ID indicates (US), but apparently not.I want and expect a working unit for which I paid for. I will not be baited to buy a product again that has already proven to be a faulty product.
