This collar worked perfectly for our 23lb cat following surgery. The soft padded material and the ability to tip the collar forward or backwards (away from the face) allowed our cat to eat from his dish & to sleep while wearing the collar. The velcro closure was secure and allowed for ease in taking the collar on & off. Our cat is usually outdoors so we expected a struggle with him wearing this collar but he adjusted within the 1st day. The design & construction of this collar is excellent making it very versatile and easy to use. GREAT alternative to plastic cone! Highly recommend!!!

We bought a total of 5 e-collars, trying to find the right for our large cat. This collar worked perfectly for him post-op. He wore it for a week while on pain medication, and he was able to eat, drink and use the litter box. He did end up scooping litter onto it, but it was easy to clean. At one point, he also got it sopping wet while he was drinking. We threw it in the dryer and it came out nicely with no damage. He was also able to easily sleep with it on, and it did not bother him nearly as much as the hard plastic e-collars. I highly recommend this.

One of my male cats recently had to undergo PU surgery and was sent home with instructions to not take off the hard plastic collar the vet placed on him to ensure he did not lick the surgical site. Well unfortunately from the moment he came home it was pretty clear that the collar was agitating him and obstructed his vision in a way that made it difficult for him to eat, drink, and use the litter box appropriately. It was a nightmare of a mess. The combo of all three issues was stressing him out to such an extent that I made the choice to swap him into this soft collar. It was an instant difference. The minute I put it on he clearly relaxed and settled down to nap, and it seems to be far more comfortable for his neck. The collar is wider, but not longer than his previous collar, so he is able to reach his water fountain without the edge catching the water and spilling it down his neck. He can eat without having to whip his head around to line up with his bowl, and he's no longer flinging around newspaper pellets and catching them in the collar when voiding. The most important part is that he can't reach his surgical site either which is the primary goal to keep him healing well.I purchased this in the largest size as my boy does have a slightly larger than average build. There is enough of a velcro patch to secure it tightly enough to ensure he can't escape, and the velcro is quite strong as well.I'm super happy with this purchase and it has eased my mind about my cat's comfort on his road to recovery.

It’s attractive and easy to put on. It’s a smaller - a good thing-but heavier ( it’s padded) than the traditional cone of shame. Arrived quickly.

My cat was much more comfortable wearing this than a cone after neutering. And, he wasn't constantly trying to get it off. I purchased a medium, which was slightly too large (a small would have been too small), causing it to come off once. But, since the velcro band is wide (about 3+ inches at its widest), I was able to fasten it more tightly with the velcro still adhering. Really glad I bought this. A friend had recommended these types of collars since she uses one for her dog.
