Have not used it for anything. But is extremely rugged in its design and feel. Prolonged used will determine how strong it is.

Nice, well-made pouch with smooth zippers, and a tough, heavy fabric. Should last a long time and stand up to considerable abuse should that happen. I don't plan to use the straps, which are removable, but it's nice to have them if needed. They can be easily removed and do have a strong snap closure.I bought this pouch to carry 9mm magazines to the range. This pouch easily holds 9 of the Ruger P95 9mm 17-round Mec-Gar magazines. I lay them down on their side, and alternate them so the Magazine Floor Plates are on the left, then right, then left, etc. It holds them securely so they don't move around much at all, but not so snug as they're difficult to put in or remove from the pouch.There's also a zippered compartment on the outside front where I could put 2-3 more mags or other items if I wanted. I could also put an additional magazine vertically inside the main compartment along either side, but then it'd be a snug fit.Great pouch, great price, and fast shipping. What more can you ask for?+++ UPDATE 4/27/14 +++Just wanted to to confirm my original thought on the number of magazines this pouch will hold. I can easily carry twelve (12) mags in this pouch when I head to the range. In the main compartment I have the 9 mags as mentioned previously: 2 ea. Ruger 15-rounders & 7 ea. Mec-Gar 17-rounders. The front zippered compartment holds 3 ea. Mec-Gar 17-round mags. Doing the math, that's 200 rounds ready to go; and not much, if any, range re-loading required. Easy to pack and safely transport, and I spend my time shooting rather than reloading.
