I remember LED strips being kind of a tacky college dorm decoration, but these things are perfectly nice for lighting up your house. Light is pleasant with a high CRI and easy installation, and way less harsh than point sources like normal ceiling lights. Also does a lot to cut out inside shadows and give good even light throughout a room. In short, great price and works like a charm.

I ordered this LED light strip to see if it would work as an inexpensive way to add some ambiance behind my desk. The package contains a 6 foot, 6 inch roll of lights, connected to a power and control box. The power can be supplied by either four AA batteries, or via the USB-A plug. The power-draw as I tested it was 5 amps, 0.01 volts at the lowest setting. The product description says that there are 640 LEDs on the strip, that feels about right (I counted 9 LEDs per inch). The lights have four brightness levels (25/50/75/100%), and can be set to flash - though I don't know why flashing would be useful. The instructions say that you can cut the strip as long as you do so along one of the marked solder joints, though I didn't need to do that. There is adhesive tape running along the entire length; be careful when peeling off the backing as it's easy to start pulling on the adhesive tape itself. That said, once you get the backing released from the tape, removing the rest goes without fuss. With the adhesive backing removed it was fairly quick work to install the light strip along the back of my desk, and it's holding firmly. One thing to note: you must manually turn on the lights each time. I wish there was a way to set them to always turn on to the previous light setting when power is supplied, it'd save me from having to reach down and press the on button. Speaking of - you'll need to ensure that you place the power-box in a convenient location, though there is roughly 10 inches of slack between the end of the LED run and the power box, and another 10 inches of slack between the box and the USB-A termination. What I expected to see was long line of tiny visually-distinct LEDs. If you're looking directly at the lights from a very close distance, that's just what you'll observe. However, when placed on the back edge of my desk which sits about 2 inches from the wall, I see a very pleasant, uninterrupted warm glow. I'll attach a couple of photos showing the lights viewed up close, and as they appear reflecting off the wall.Suffice to say, I'm very pleased with how this turned out - much better than expected.

Item worked as described. The battery pack is a little larger than I thought it'd be from the photo but its not like HUGE or anything. The lights work great, and have a few modes you can cycle through if you want. They seem pretty bright to me, exactly what I needed.

Night Kitchen Countertop light Solution- we wanted to get something that would be motion detection and light would not blast into eyes in the middle of the night for the glass of water. It was simple to install thanks to sticky side, it is decently bright to illuminate and look around. The LEDs are quality and functional for the size of 8ft long cabines. We love how seamless it is✅I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.✅

I was super surprised at how well this these light strips worked. I adhere them to the side of a table to light up in a closet and surprisingly they never fell off. I love that they can be plugged in so they don’t need batteries. There are multiple modes that they can be used on. The lights are surprisingly bright as well. Definitely recommend.
