This old Korean monitor is great but DVI is effectively deprecated now. This way I can keep using it.

I tried a number of other solutions to interface an Apple 30-inch Cinema Display to a MacMini M4Pro, but they failed with distorted video. This product simply works either plugged directly into the MacMini or via a port on a Caldigit Thunderbolt 4 Pro (Apple Store version). No issue with recovery from sleep. That said the keyboard controls for video brightness do not work without a helper application. Better Display is an option but nagging to upgrade to the pro version drove me to the free app MonitorControl. Note neither application can control the display using hardware control, thus must be configured for software control.Strongly recommend this adapter versus other options such as using an Apple DVI-D to mini display port, plus USB-C to mini display port adapter. While many reviews suggest this combination works, I wasn't able to find a USB-C to mini display port adapter on Amazon that functioned correctly.

The adapter works great until trying to view HDCP content then the video is blanked out. All other content works and haven't had a single other issue. My monitor is the 30" ACD that was sold in 2008 according to the serial number. Addition: I’ve started having random connectivity issues making me replug the adapter multiple times to fix. Also the monitor does support HDCP when connected directly to an older machine but not with this adapter.

(Club 3D CAC-1510 USB Type C to Dual Link DVI-D Cable Adapter Support 3840x2160@30hz, 2560x1600@60Hz HDCP Support M/F / $43 at the time of ordering)Just a quick note if you're looking for an adapter for the 30" Apple Cinema Display. Check the serial number on your display to look up its manufacturing date. I believe Apple added support for HDCP (HDCP compliant) to their 30” Cinema Displays in 2007 (possibly late in 2006). If your monitor is newer than that, this should be the correct adapter. If your monitor is older than that (2004-2006), the adapter you want to get is the Club3D CAC-1510-A (link below). I've purchased a couple of those and they work great with my oldest Cinema Displays. With regard to this adapter, the quality is on par with their other products. It's plastic and fairly lightweight. I initially thought another one of my displays was HDCP compliant. But, in fact, it wasn't. So this display adapter didn't work well with that monitor. I contacted the company and their Customer Support team was excellent. They responded quickly and let me know the adapter could, of course, be returned. But they also gave the option of walking me through a firmware update should I want to use the adapter with a non-HDCP compliant monitor. An excellent option, especially considering how much confusion about compatibility there is with regard to connecting older displays to newer Macs.I think there are only a handful of companies who are distributing adapters for these older Cinema Displays. Previous to this, I had spent way too much time looking for workarounds using multiple cables/converters/adapters. This is a much better (and simpler) solution to anything else I’ve found to date. Somehow, they’ve managed to manufacture a single-corded adapter that can process the signal from a Dual Link DVI. Amazing. And, at a somewhat reasonable price ($43 at the time of the review). I’ll update this should any issues arise in the future. But overall, very happy with both this company and their products.Club3D CAC-1510-A (for the 2004-2006 Apple Cinema Display)https://www.amazon.com/CAC-1510-Adapter-Displays-3840x2160-2560x1600/dp/B08B7FSVTL/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Al estar a un puerto tipo C nos evitamos la conecion extra para darle energia al adaptador. COmpacto y de buena calidad el conector trabaja correctamente

I bought this to connect an old 30” Dell 3007wfp monitor to my 2020 iMac (intel). While it worked with a slightly less old Dell U3011 monitor, the 3007 screen would flash the desktop once every 8 seconds the go black. I contacted the seller who said it was likely an incompatibility with hdcp and I could either exchange for the non-hdcp version or install the non-hdcp firmware (which required a windows computer). I chose to install the firmware and the problem is solved. The image looks great, no artifacts at all. I’m very happy with the product and the support.
