A smart looking belt that looks good with white shorts or jeans. My 14 year old loves it.

This belt reminds me of a braided leather one I had years and years ago. The great thing about the braided design is that there are no official belt holes, so you can wear it as small or large as you need (within the physical limits of the strap, obviously), and you can fine tune the fit precisely. Wherever the perfect circumference for you is, that's where you buckle it. Especially with the way kids can go through stages in their growth and development where they may gain a bit of weight and be almost pudgy, but then shoot up in their height and be skinny as a pole, a belt is more than a fashion accessory; it's a useful item for holding up their pants and refining the fit of their waistbands. The fact that these are not strips of leather, but rather elastic cords, which have been plaited together, adds to the belt's ability to stay up, to stay in place, and to hone in on an exact fit. I personally think the braided design is not only practical, but also gives a polished look, so it should work well for school uniforms, Sunday best, and dressy occasions.I chose the smallest size, which fits a toddler, and the black color is very nice. It's a true black, not a dark charcoal gray or dark navy blue--black. I found no flaws in the physical construction of the product, either. It is odor-free, right out of the packaging. The stitching looks straight, neat, and even, and the cords have a decent amount of stretch. In fact, the intended recipient was with me when the item arrived, and they were quite taken with the elastic effect. The belt was an instant hit because it was fun to tug on, had an interesting, pebbled texture, and was short enough to walk around with in their hands, without tripping all over it.If it holds up as well as I think it will based on what I've seen so far, I will happily order the next size up when the time comes. At just under $10, the belt is great value for the amount of use I believe they'll get from it. It's a simple, useful, high-quality item at a modest price, and I'm quite pleased with it.
