Guía de aplicación:
1. Limpieza de superficies: Limpieza previa rápida de manchas difíciles si es necesario. Paño húmedo para quitar la mayoría de los contaminantes. Limpieza final con un paño seco.

Bought because it claims to be "heavy duty", but in reality it's only medium duty. It doesn't hold simple things like wire clips mounted to plastic surfaces very well, if there's the slightest amount of pressure applied to the clip, it pops off.

I originally ordered this roll of 3M Heavy Duty Double Sided Tape for mounting LED strips to a wall or ceiling, but in fact I haven't yet used any of this great adhesive product for that purpose at all, but rather for other little projects. For example, I recently used a couple of small pieces of the tape to mount a 3D printed holder for one of my CNC machine's Z-Probe. As seen in a couple of the photos I attached to this review, I first cut the two little strips (not too evenly) to length and stuck them to the cover of a junction box on the machine, then I peeled off the protective film on the top of the strips and stuck the holder to them. Worked great!The way this tape strip works is that the tape is a fairly thin dense foam material. When applying the tape there is a lot of leeway for repositioning it if it's not placed just right in the first couple of tries (or more). Although it does stick when lightly placed, it can be unstuck many times and re-stuck with zero reduction in sticking power. Once the tape is positioned properly where desired, it can be pressed hard to the surface, which compresses the foam and more fully activates the adhesive. That being done, the protective film over the top of the strip can be removed, and the item being adhered to the surface can be pressed onto the strips. For my little project I mentioned previously, I pressed and held the part to the surface for several seconds, but I'm not sure if this was really needed. In any case, it held tight.Although it SEEMED like a strong bond after this original mounting, based on information in the product ad after the first half-hour the bond strength is about 10%, then gradually builds to an 80% strength after 24 hours, and finally reaching full strength over a 72-hour period.Although it's not relevant for my little project since it will only ever be used indoors in my workshop, this tape strip can also be used in wet areas, including outdoors. That will be good to know when I finally get around to mounting my aforementioned LED strips, since they are destined for installation on my patio; which although it is under cover it's nonetheless exposed to high humidity and wind-driven rain.As far as I'm concerned, 3M adhesives are the best! I've used their tape strips (not this exact product, but similar) to stick hooks to my home's front door glass for hanging wreaths, and they've been holding tight for YEARS now even through blazing sun, extreme humidity, multiple hurricanes, etc. It's amazing!

This is really strong double sided tape with excellent adhesion. It holds up really well and performs really well. My only complaint is the fact that you can't place the roll down anywhere because the side of the roll sticks to any surface you place it on. Other than that, I like this stuff.

Good double sided tape has enumerable uses and there never seems to be enough of it. Sometimes you need narrow strips, wide ones, extra sticky or less sticky ones. This roll is on the stickier side so good for tucking electronic controllers and such out of site or as in my case LED lights on some shelving. So far it seems to be holding well thus no complaints there. My only complaint really is this roll seems to be cut off a larger one, I understand they all are but this is post manufacture. I say this because the sides of this roll are very sticky and my store bought rolls aren't like this. You can see in the pics it very easily holds its own weight just from the tacky sides. In many situations this is not an issue but if you are in an environment with pets or other potential debris when you set this down it's going to collect dog hair, dust and well anything else. I recommend saving the bag and reinserting when not actively using.

I got this for adhering some aluminum LED tape light channel and while I haven't yet put the channel in place, I've tested this tape and it adheres pretty solidly to the back of the aluminum channel. After sitting for a couple of days, the tape will still peel off (nice and cleanly, I might add, with no residue) but it takes a good bit of effort, so I'm sure that this will hold the channel fine. I'm actually going to use this tape in conjunction with some silicone on the back as well, since I want to make sure it stays in place, and I'm not sure how the heat of the LED tape will affect this tape.Only time will tell how well this tape holds up, but I'll update this review if I have any issues down the road.
