My son is 60 lbs and I got a small fits perfectly. They are snug and stay up.

I'm glad I decided to go with these! I originally bought a small for my son (4' & 48 lbs), but they were a little too big. Easy free return and I ordered an XS. It fits and provides decent padding. I will buy again when he grows out of these.

My son is 7 and is 4’ and weighs about 45 lbs soaking wet. He’s tiny! His football uniform came with a size “small” but the knee pads ended up being shin guards on him. He was constantly pulling up his pants because even at the tightest his belt would allow, they were still too big. I decided to order these since the price was right and to gauge what size he really is. We went with the 1xs and they fit perfect. I would highly recommend these for slim built kids but they might not work on someone more husky in the middle or if they have thick butt and thighs. Definitely buying more for my slim guy. I posted the difference in size compared to his old ones for comparison in a different brand off brand.
