I wore this vest to a Western Glam themed party and got TONS of compliments on it all night. The material is a good density and layered in the front so it has enough weight to drape nicely but isn't heavy or hot. The sequin fringe is lightweight and looks great -- lots of people said they thought it was trimmed with rhinestones from a distance, and were surprised to realize they were simple sequins on closer inspection. The sequin fringe also feels soft and pleasant to the touch. I couldn't stop petting and fiddling with the fringe.Note that my rating is in relation to the current listed price of 33 dollars. The overall materials and construction are good for a costume piece, but they're far from perfect and aren't going to impress on close inspection. The ends of the trim were unfinished, and the bottom trim wasn't stitched straight -- in the photo of the trim, the material is lying totally flat and the wobbly area is due to imperfect construction. It's particularly noticeable since it's contrast trim; I actually considered removing the bottom trim and sewing it to the inside of the vest, but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I think the bottom hem would look a lot more flattering with an angled drape cut, too. With the contrasting trim, it kind of "cut me in half" in a way I didn't love, but that's just a matter of taste I guess. I'm bigger in the chest and got a medium which felt fine comfort-wise, but I think a large might have looked a little better.Overall, it surpassed my expectations for the price and it worked great for my needs as a costume piece. I'll keep it for now and would definitely wear it again if the right theme-party-opportunity arose, but I suspect it's going to end up in the Halloween bin until I donate it or give it to a friend.
