I came across these when Amazon had a super sale price on them. I needed to replace my old, falling-apart slide in sandals. Other sandals I tried as replacement either caused blisters over the toe area or I stepped out of them while walking. I had heard good things about Chaco sandals. These are comfortable to wear. Once you get the hang of adjusting the straps—not too tight—they stay put. I especially like the footbed. There is some arch support and there feels like almost zero drop from heel to toe, making these much more like a natural fit “barefoot” shoe, like I wear for running. The sole is thick enough so that you don’t feel rocks, etc. It appears to be fused to the footbed in such a way that I’m hopeful the soles won’t separate from the footbed like two pairs of famous-brand sandals did. The black straps and footbed go with anything, and their simple design appeals to me.

Les sandales sont jolies, elles sont arrivées rapidement, par contre mon conjoint porte du 10 et demi habituellement et j'ai commandé les 11. Elles sont trop petites. Je les ai retournées, reçu rapidement le remboursement, par contre il semble que les frais d'importations ne me soient pas remboursés. Donc si on calcules ceux-ci plus les frais de livraison pour les recevoir, ça fait que ça côute 15$ les essayer.

Fit as expected right out of the box, maybe a bit on the large side, but with no half sizing I expected that. I did expect them to be slightly chunky since this has been my experience with most Chacos except their flips. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these slides feel light but still substantial and they are quite “cushy”, not too firm but very easy to walk with. I managed to wear them for a whole day right from the first time I put them on. The straps are smooth and soft - no rubbing my poor feet raw trying to break them in. Other people have complained that these don’t stay on their feet and require some dialing in to get the tension on the straps just right. I found I needed zero adjustment after I first stepped in and futzed with the straps, but I also think I may have already owned enough flip flops and slides that walking and even running in these comes naturally. I can see how some people might find them awkward but with a little patience they will bring you joy. These are now my go to sandals and the only thing I wish is that they had a few more colours to choose from. Plain black will have to do for now. Seriously satisfied with the feel and comfort these have provided so far. And since Chacos never seem to die easily - my last pair carried on for 8 years before I finally wore the soles down enough to not feel bad about chucking them - I expect these to last a while.

So, like a few other people I was initially disappointed with these. They just wouldn't stay on my feet when I walked and the arch support seemed way too high and far back for my foot. And when I snugged the webbing down, they would sort of slip forward and fly off the ends of my feet! But, as a perseverer, it was obvious that I should just try to adjust the straps bit by bit and wear them around the house.Turns out that's the key! Time and gentle wear before taking to the streets/trails/beach/etc1. the arch will compress and then miraculously feel perfect for your foot.2. Adjust the straps by very small amounts: too tight and they'll squeeze themselves right off your foot with the third or fourth step. Small moves, Ellie. Small moves (bonus points for those who get the reference).3. Wear them while you're seated, to let the rubber and foam warm up and with your weight, they'll conform to the feet.In the end, I have walked miles in these things; done trail walks with roots, rocks and rubble, scrabbly inclines, and of course the obligatory stream crossing, all in comfort and ease.5 stars would be if they could just be a bit snugger on the foot but otherwise, I adore these slides.
