I got this prior to a road trip with a Tesla Model 3 SR just in case I found myself too far from a Supercharger. I never did get myself into trouble, but I tested this out at a CCS1 station just to make sure it works, and yes... it does! I got a full 150kW for a time, and I probably would have got more if I hadn't have cheaped out and bought the standard range version. I'm sure the Long Range Tesla would have happily pulled 250kW.It feels very solid and comes with a nice case. A worthy addition to my "Tesla Bag" of goodies!

The GUWIEYG CCS1 to NACS Fast Charging Adapter worked out really well to connect to a EVgo or Chargepoint charger. I really liked the nice case that is included with this charger. Nice and compact and smooth to the touch. The EVgo charging station I went to was a 100 KW station and the Chargepoint station was 125 KW station.I didn’t experience any issues outside the normal delays charging with a Kia Niro or a Kia EV6 versus getting the system to recognize my Tesla Model Y and start charging. Speeds were sustained by the Tesla around 100KW till it got too full. The Adapter didn’t get too hot and was easy to remove from the connector.

I brought this Tesla to CCS adapter by GUWIEYG, along with a different brand adapter of the same type, on a trip from WI to Michigan.I did not have time to test out the adapters to ensure they work prior to my trip due to lack of CCS charging access in my area. I definitely DO recommend that you test your charger adapters with your Tesla PRIOR to any travels.I did check compatibility by going into controls, settings, software, additional vehicle information on my Tesla 21M3LR to ensure that my vehicle is equipped to charge at CCS stations. When the time came, I made the decision to bypass a supercharging station on my trip to save an hour, and instead headed in the direction of home which only had the CCS charger available. If I hadn't had the other brand charger available at the time, I might've been stranded. Because of not being able to get the vehicle to charge with this brand adapter, I can't comment on performance. For my specific vehicle and the Barron Electric Coop station that I was using, I couldn't get the adapter to connect or fit properly to begin charging. Other users using different stations may have different results. I did note that the elongated neck piece on the adapter may pose issues with charging because it distributes the weight unevenly on the car's charge port and the charge cord. That being said, the CCS adapter seems sturdy, and the compact case that it comes in is nice and sleek. I was appreciative that there was a small manual that came with the adapter which made installation and operation easy to understand. The adapter did not overheat when I attempted to use it.

Tesla might be the 'marquee brand' in the EV car market but the reality is that there are significantly more CCS1 superchargers than NACS superchargers. You can see this disparity on one of the graphics accompanying the product description: 6000+ CCS1 supercharging stations to 2000+ NACS supercharging stations. Not sure if these are current numbers or not but that 4000 or so disparity is big. This handy little adapter lets Tesla drivers use the CCS1 superchargers to power up their NACS vehicles. It feels very well made and that's not surprising--GUWIEYG might not be a 'household name' but I've used several of their adapters and other EV accessories and have had a good experience with them. Where I live I have a good supply of Tesla superchargers but I figured I might as well toss this in the trunk just in case. Highly recommended!

My previous CCS adapter just stopped working for no apparent reason. So, I got this one. And it seems to be working great so far with my Model Y. Plus it comes with a protective carrying case! My other one did not, and maybe that is why it stopped working. It was just loose in my sub trunk until I need it. I am hopeful that this one will keep working for a long time since it is protected.
