Il collegamento è facilissimo: basta inserirlo e poi lasciare che l'app si agganci all'adattatore (è importante non abbinarlo manualmente). Appena collegato mi ha proposto l'aggiornamento del firmware della control unit (cosa che gli ho lasciato fare). E' possibile inserire i tracciati, le macchine e i piloti (eventualmente con la foto) e poi si può correre (sessioni libere, qualifiche e gara). Tiene i tempi sul giro di tutti i concorrenti con precisione al millesimo di secondo. Esegue la partenza tipo F1 (5 luci rosse che si accendono progressivamente e poi si spengono), con rilevamento della falsa partenza. E' possibile settare da app le caratteristiche di ogni singola auto (frenata, velocità e carburante), cosa possibile anche dalla sola control unit, ma così è tutto più facile e veloce. Durante la corsa può anche riprodurre un sottofondo di rumori da "autodromo" molto efficaci. Aggiunge davvero una marcia in più ad una pista già bellissima (la slot con più di 2 giocatori con il cambio corsia è super) A pagamento, ma non provato, è possibile attivare ulteriori opzioni, come collegare il proprio smartphone al tablet/telefono principale così ogni giocatore può avere anche il proprio display personalizzato, oppure la gestione delle penalità. Il manuale completo per l'app si trova online (sul sito della carrera, ma l'ho cercato con google). Volendo le schermate del tablet o dello smartphone possono anche essere inviate alla TV mediante i "soliti" SW e dispositivi. Super soddisfatto

Maybe I'll revisit this review if Carrera ever gets back to me with a fix. So far I can't get any device to connect to the unit. Tried 2 iphones , 2 samsung and an iPad. Not will connect and stay connected. it connects for a second then loses connection. I tried using the Carrera App, Smart race and Open Lap. They all do the same thing. Connect/Disconnect over and over. If I connect the device directly though the bluetooth settings the device stays connected and the light stays solid blue. In the Carrera app it gets to the update and then tries to download and lasts for 1 second then back to disconnect. rinse and repeat. I'll give Carrera a few days to respond before it goes back. I tried for a couple days using all google/youtube searches I could find and no help. Only thing that lead to is info that it possibly being the control unit and not the actual adapter. Something about manufacturing date and current firmware. But since I cant connect at all i have no way to find current firmware. Buyer Beware for nowUpdate: I forgot to update this back in the day. Carrera did send me a new unit. I don’t quite remember what the issue was but something about compatibility with the newer set I had. They made it right pretty quick though

Works very good , but not with the free app that comes with it. If you want serious fun you must pay another 15$ to download "carrera digital race management Smartrace on the playstore.
