Easy little kit for installing a built-in charger. The wiring has an in-line 10A fuse preinstalled, though the wiring itself is pretty stiff. It is stranded so it shouldn't crack from vibration. The voltmeter didn't seem super accurate when compared against a DMM. It looked like it was usually reading a little high, sometimes up to 0.2V. Not a big number by itself, but not nothing in the context of state-of-charge when dealing with lead-acid automotive batteries. I only checked running it at 13.2V to 13.5V, not lower, higher, or 24V, so I'm not holding that against it for now.

I ride a Honda Goldwing and a few years ago I installed the optional power outlet into the trunk to be able to charge my devices all the time. Unfortunately this power outlet is in the lid of the trunk and faces down. Over time, my USB adapters have started to fall out more frequently due to gravity and the weakening of their springs that hold them in the sleeve of the outlet. Instead of replacing the adapter and hoping that it would stay, I decided to swap it out with a USB outlet. The positive side is that it shows the battery charge so if I'm concerned that it's running low, I don't have to go get my meter to find out. Snip, snip, wire it in. If you have wired in any other motorcycle accessories, this is just as easy. I'm slowly migrating from USB A to USB C as the industry adopts this new standard, I'm happy to be able to use either one without an adapter. I recommend this product.
