Works great, charges fast, but you'll have to modify the locking ring to fit in oem location

Install one of these in my 2008 Ford Escape. It fit perfecting into the existing cigarette lighter hole. I cut the existing wires to cigarette lighter connector and crimped them with the suppled connectors. Then attached the wires to the new charging socket. Install was very easy and everything needed was supplied.

Voltage is off by .2 on several different attempts every test I've done.. it's unfortunate with these being otherwise solid USBC sockets which was a need fulfilled. Voltmeter was a major factor in which product was purchased with a lot of electrical wiring in my vechicle underway this year.I could simply always add .2 to get the right voltage but whose to say it won't be faulty even further in the future. This defect/error is an issue in both sockets, and haven't contacted customer support yet and may not go through the trouble. Just wanted to state what others have mentioned with the inaccurate readings these provide so future buyers may be aware.EDIT: Customer support refunded purchase so adding a star, and I still have one installed in my vehicle near shifter. The button to turn on/off for voltmeter and USB is very convenient. I've got my radar detector (12v socket to USB adapter) connected so I'll press the button and it'll power on the voltmeter (which I'll add .2) and radar when I'm in vehicle and I enjoy that option so a near perfect product for me minus the faulty reading.
