This CAH tales is funny, it gives it a different twist to the original which I liked. The book that came with it is actually pretty nice , which surprised me and the pages have a nice thickness to them. The quality of the cards was good and so was the price. Can’t wait to play more.

We're pretty big CAH fans, we love stories, and we dig silly games like mad libs, so Tales seemed like a super good way to get more play out of our existing cards. And it is! Mostly. The included book says straight up that this isn't really a game, it's more like an activity - and that's a really good way to look at Tales. The fun of OG Cards Against Humanity is that it's a super easy casual party game that you can pull out anytime and people can learn to play instantly. There are very few game pieces to keep track of - just stacks of cards - and it's both infinitely playable and expandable. Tales isn't really any of those things. It's still simple to learn, but it's got a more complicated structure, there are more components to deal with, and because it's all based on a fill-in-the-blank story dynamic, gameplay is limited by the number of stories in the book. Story repeats will still be different depending on the cards you use and the people at the table, of course, but I suspect frequent players will eventually exhaust the entertainment value. All of that said, it IS pretty damn entertaining once you get the hang of it. It's essentially mad libs using your existing CAH decks, and there are no points to keep track of and no winners. It's just a fun thing to do, which is great if you're in a noncompetitive group, or stuck somewhere. (I think this would be *perfect* if you're snowed in, out camping, or bored indoors on a rainy day.) It's pretty inexpensive, but it's got an upscale gothic aesthetic that looks really good with your existing CAH stuff.
