The decal will not release from the backing paper with the applied transfer tape. If you have your own transfer tape you MAY be able to get it off. It’s a worthless decal if it can’t be removed from the backing paper. I do NOT recommend.

This item comes exactly how it advertises, but I was surprised by the quality, functionality, the thickness, and clarity of the print. It is definitely designed to go on the hull of the boat and last for years, but it would equally serve well as a window sticker on a vehicle or on a trailer should you want to go that route. The black of the print is bright without defect and looks original. It does not appear as though it would easily be removed by the elements; super sticky.This all being said, the only reason that I docked a single star is that there is a little bit of work to do on your own end. A previous reviewer mentioned it not coming off of the backing. You do need to make sure of a couple things: 1) when you peel of the clear cover off, you need to make sure that the decal is sticking to it!! You may need to help it stay attached, it does tend to want to stay attached to the white backing. This is best done by using a credit card on top of the clear layer before trying to remove it to make sure there aren't any air bubbles. Once this is done and you have the decal just on the clear layer, line it up and adhere, it's that easy. I would also recommend doing the credit card trick again after application.It's worth the little bit of trouble for the quality!
