I liked the idea of having a little place to hide things like spare keys, some money or small valuable stuff like jewelery. The fact that it's hidden in a fake book makes it almost impossible for a thief to find it in your library!I can't say that this is a high quality book reproduction, but put this book with all the others in your library, and you wouldn't be able to tell that it's a safe, so I think that's a pretty good way to keep valuable stuff out of sight! I give it 3/5 because like I said, the build quality isn't great, but the idea is pretty good!

was so excited to get a book safe to do a review on, I didn’t realize that this was a smaller sized safe.It is a nice looking “book” and if you were looking at it from any side, I think it would be passable as a book.Once you pick it up, it will be obvious it’s not a real book, but sitting on a shelf, it will be unnoticeable. The locking function works and the combo was very easy to change.Of course this is not a harden safe, but as a diversion safe to stash away some smaller items, it will serve its purpose. While a nice little safe, its size limits what you can fit in it. So if you only need a little book safe, it will be a good option, but if you need a lot of space, check the dimensions first to make sure it will suit your needs.

This is a very clever way to store things in a bookcase without making it obvious that you’ve got things stored.Essentially, this is a cardboard and plastic case with a metal lock box inside of it. For the most part, this passes as a legitimate book. The really good part is that the edges are made of a moulded plastic, and really do look like pages of a book. The cardboard outer looks like the cover of a book, I got the London version. The one thing I don’t love about this is that the spine, which is the outer, facing part, is lacking information that you would normally see on a real book. For instance, though it has the title, usually you will see a publishers name or logo on the spine of the book. This does not have that. I think that’s fine, though I may consider taking a jacket from an old book of this thickness and placing it over top to look more legitimate. I did not remove any stars for this because it’s a very minor thing and I’m probably one of the few people who is this picky about book spines! In terms of the important part, which is the lock box, inside of the book, it is impressive that they concealed it so well. It is a metal box with a three digit combination lock. This is going to deter a casual investigation of the contents. It’s a standard lockbox, so someone who is really determined to get in probably can. But I think this is perfect for just small things that you don’t want children to get access to easily.Overall great value, fun thing to have in the house, and useful to protect small objects from people who shouldn’t have access to them.

This book safe is really cool. It is a perfect place to hide things that you don't want anyone to see. It says that it has real pages but that is not true. The pages are plastic but they look pretty real from a distance. I really like this safe.
