I use this for diamond painting. I have a hard time seeing the symbols on the picture so I bought this in hope it would help. Well, it does!! Great product; highly recommend.

This may seem silly, but take it from a beginner's perspective. I have to admit, I've wanted one of these for so long that I can no longer remember why. When was the last time I had to trace something? Probably 20 years and probably when I was teaching. In that 20 years, I suspect computer technology and graphic design has replaced what people used to have to do by hand. I don't consider myself artist, but what a great way to kick the habit of thinking that. I think kids would also get a confidence boost using something like this, as well.When I got this, I couldn't believe how sturdy it is, but also extremely lightweight. I didn't notice any flickering and it's very easy to use-- basically turn it on and off. It does have three different color temperatures for the light and I can see where that would be useful depending on the lighting in your own environment-- much like the settings on your cell phone.This thing is fantastic and honestly, after a couple weeks, I'm always looking for something to trace or use cases where a computer wouldn't work as well. I'm enjoying the challenge and like I said, it does raise your confidence in your artistic abilities.

This thing is really cool, I love it actually, I just wish it came with a bag. Reviewers weren’t offered the bundle with the bag, that one looks awesome but at least a basic slip cover would be nice, because of the textured finish of the lightscreen and the white color I’m very worried about getting dust on it. I just wanted to get that gripe out of the way.Otherwise this thing is awesome, looking at it I never would have guessed that it was a light. I have one those cheapie A4 ones and the difference is night and day. My old one looks like it could easily crack if you put too much pressure on it, this one has a sensible plastic housing. There’s no way to accidentally adjust the brightness and you can actually find the buttons by touch. Speaking of brightness, it so much stronger than my crappy old one, there’s maybe 5 brightness levels, 3 kinds of lighting, and a separate on off switch. It’s very light so you can move it out of the way with one hand once you’re done with it. I am SO excited about playing with this, with this A3 size you can use it with most standard diamond paintings as well as for weeding vinyl decals and tracing traditional artwork. I’ll be looking for an alternate A3 storage bag because I want to keep this thing looking pristine!

I've been diamond painting a long time, but now that my vision has become a problem for me, the light up board is a great help. Having the clips is a plus.
