These have become a must have item for patching XLR outputs so you don't stress the connections!It's a bad idea to use short one-piece adapters that put added stress on the connections and are unusable if space is limited.

I bought this to connect a wireless microphone with a 1/4" jack to my powered mixer that only accepts XLR inputs. I have not given it extensive tests but plugged in and all worked as it should.

I wanted to use this to get audio to a pair headphones, it didn't work, sound is too low, maybe I needed a headphone amplifier? Perhaps I used in a way that it is not intended to.

I have my more expensive microphones that I don't like the kids playing with so they have their own, cheaper versions that connect via 1/4" jack. This adapter cord worked perfectly so that they could use their cheaper microphones on the PA system and plug into the normal stereo mic XLR jacks. The sound quality wasn't as good as the XLR connection but that has nothing to do with the cord....it's the cheaper microphones. This cord connects solidly and holds tight with no play at all on either the XLR side or the 1/4" connection. A great adapter cord at a great price.
