I am a semi-retired recording engineer. As many of us did, I came up through the ranks doing live sound and moved over into studio work. In live situations few things are more aggravating than a cable going bad. And let's face it the do. When I discovered Canare Star-Quad cables that use TWO separate internal wires for each connection, I had to try them. Redundancy is important in live sound, as they help prevent failures, and provide a quick work-around when failures do occur. Those Canara cables worked, never had a failure of a Canare cable during a show over several hundreds of shows. In the studio when a cable went back I replaced it with Canare, and guess what, I never had one fail during use there either... So now, semi-retired and doing home recording I once again selected Canare cables..The folks at World's Best Cables paired then up with Amphenol Connectors. I first ran across Amphenol connectors back in the mid 1960's with the first band I was in. They along with Switchcraft were the industry standards. These days we see a lot of Neutrik connectors, and they are great connectors too. Their multipin connectors make speaker cabling much easier and more reliable. But Amphenol connectors are solid as can be.My hat's off to the folks at World's Best Cables. They do make solid, reliable cables using top tier industry standard products. They also provide them at a fair price as well... I highly recommend these cables.
