Bought to replace the original cord that came with the Instant Pot that had melted. This works well and we haven’t had any issues with it. It really doesn’t need to be 8’ though, 6’ would be more than adequate.

The one thing I didn't like about the Instant Pot was the very short cord that came with it. Someone suggested a longer power cord and I am happy I ordered it!! I can now move the pot further away from my cabinets and not get them all steamy. Great value for the money!
