I love the true color of this red flatware set. I have noticed that the color is starting to fade away around the rim of the silverware. I have not even put them in the dishwasher. I wash them by hand. Also, the surface is not smooth as I thought it would be. I do not use them too often because of the fading but I love the color of red and it matches my decor in my kitchen perfect.

Love my new silverware! I searched high and low for black silverware and was nervous about finding something that was truly dishwasher safe and good quality overall. So far, this set has hit the mark. They have a nice weight to them, have held up in the dishwasher after nearly a dozen washes, and just add some edge to my dish ware. I can’t speak to long term durability however. Some people have remarked on the water/finger marks that get on these, and while that’s true, I wouldn’t say it’s anything severe. They can be wiped off and frankly if you’re worried about every little mark on your silverware 1. Don’t get black and 2. Be willing to spend more than $30 on it. We love this set and from our experience thus far would definitely get it again.

so now the drawer has 4 different sets of flatware ... and this set is by far the set we enjoy the most. It brings smiles and laughter from our guests and sets the tone for a casual relaxed conversations around the table ... sometimes we mix it with our set of black flatware for shock value ...( but this does confuse the guests we discovered )........................it is now mid-Sept and the flatware is beginning to show wear ... the silver stainless is showing thru ... if we look at it as the Jpanese wabi, natural wearing, then it is fine... if we look at it in the western sense of wear and tear it is disappointing ... so we choose wabi ... natural wearing and usage
