For anyone who purchased a watch repair kit that does not include this device, be prepared to go out and purchase this item. For all of the watches that have a pressure closed back on them, this device is a must. You will get very frustrated trying to press the back of the watch back onto the watch by hand without this device. This device makes pressing the back on VERY easy.The two issues with this product: (#1) they send absolutely no instructions. I had to find how to use it on YouTube.(#2) It could have a few more dies. The dies are to protect the watch crystal (face) when pressure is applied to seal the watch. If your watch crystal protrudes out from the watch too far, it might be tricky finding the right die.

I had a battery put in my watch at a national chain discount store. After trying to put the back on my watch - the clerk announced it was warped and would never fit! In reality she was not using the correct end for my watch. A replacement watch was going to be $200. Long story short - this tool comes with lots of different faces that need to match the size of your watch. With the correct size the back popped right back in place. It took longer to get tool out of the box than it took to put the back on my watch! It worked great! Highly recommend

Used it first time...snapped the back together.....just remember this is for the snap in back watches.....not the type you unscrew the back...needs a different tool for that. Has many dies to fit all watches......all you need to know is place the butterfly piece on the top......and find the right diameter die that fits your watch....and screw that on the bottom....works like a charm! When you line up the back plate there is a tiny notch which must be aligned with the stem......once aligned just some pressure with your hands to hold in place temporarily until you are ready to use the press....Suggest a Youtube Video to see how it works best....once you hear the snap it is done.....

My wife had bought one of these fancy Michael Kors (sp) watches. I changed the battery in it but could not close the back panel. She went to a watch repair place and saw the guy press the back plate with a device that I just bought. He charged her $18.00. So I bought this one and have already pressed several back covers on with it. It works very well. If you have a spouse with myriad watches like my wife, and you are not afraid to try, the batteries cost a little more than $1 on Amazon and you will be saving lost of money going forward. A great product.

I changed my watch battery and then I tried to close it and couldnt.. I tried for several minutes with some carpenter pressers and I damaged a little bit the back, so I decided that I wouldnt suffer any more and bought this watch press set and I was so pleased that it took less than 5 seconds to close my watch and that it has a lot of sizes. So I will recommend it instead of paying someone to do it. It will last for so many years and you will save a lot of money.

I managed to remove the back cover off of one of my wife's watches to replace the battery. This is not easily done on many models if they are the pressure seals (rather than screws that hold it on). After I replaced the battery, I tried everything I could think of to get the cover back on without damaging the watch. YouTube videos were of little help, so I resigned myself to getting this watch press. After sorting through and finding the correctly sized die, I was able to press it back together using this tool. However, it wasn't easy, and I am inclined to think that having a longer leverage bar would make this tool easier to use. I don't know if they publish the specifications on this kind of thing, but the lever on this one is 6.5 inches long. I think closer to 10 inches would be perfect. If you have many pressure-sealed watches that need batteries replaced, then I do recommend getting a tool like this, as it will pay for itself quickly, since everywhere I go to get watch batteries replaced charges $11 per watch!
