I love my new machine it is easy to use . The stitches are tighter. I have not used it a lot but it is quiet

My daughter has a Brother XR1300 sewing machine. When I realized I was going to be losing access to it when she leaves, I needed to replace it. Because her machine is awesome, I wanted the same one. It is an old model so buying the same one as her wasn't an option. Who doesn't want an updated one though? I started looking and learned that the XR models seem to have been discontinued replaced with something newer. The newer ones though they have awesome reviews didn't interest me. I wanted an XR because I knew it was a good machine.I wanted an XR based on two things: Brother's description describes it something to the effect of it can go through any material. I saw this with my daughter's machine. I wanted the same thing. The other thing is the built in stitches selection. Most I will never use, but the newer models have less.This sewing works better than my daughter's. It has all the same things and set up the same way. I have used it to sew through pleats for masks. It works great.It is easy to thread the needle. Easy to use.
