Good if you’re trying to come up with a color palette for art and need something in your hands while you’re thinking. It’s also really cute. It could only make me happier if it was big enough to show tetradic color schemes.

Great gift for artists especially for an art teacher that is not too expensive

Super loud when I walk since I put it on my backpack but it's functional and super cute!

I'm thinking I ought to have gotten the pin (and I might do so anyway) because I've been hesitant to actually use this as a keyring. I don't even have that many keys--just one of those electronic car keys, and the house key. I have also attached a manual pencil sharpener that has a hole in it probably for hanging on a hook, but is perfect for attaching to a key ring. I often carry coloring supplies with me, so having a portable color wheel (that actually turns) was a cute idea. The wheel itself is very well made--not heavy, but a sturdier metal than is often used for this type of novelty item. The colors are MUCH more vibrant than in the photos. I ordered the white design. The inner wheel that indicates the color combination, actually turns smoothly, and the gold lettering, is amazingly sharp and legible for such tiny writing. The overall looks and quality of the keychain is why I gave it four stars. Mainly because it's better than a 3, but you can't rate it a 3 and a half. The wheel is attached to a short chain that is in turn attached to a ring--one of those where you're supposed to slide the keys on . This is a problem because the ring is fairly small. It is very difficult (and impossible in this case) to get one of those keys with the chunky plastic or rubber top onto the ring. The house key will probably fit, but the ring is very tight and after struggling for a few minutes to open it just enough to slide the key on, I gave up. No way is that pencil sharpener going to fit on that, but can't ding it for that as it is a KEY ring. I can ding it for not being able to put my keys on it. However, my solution is just to get a good carabiner type keyring and put the keys on it, and then put my color wheel onto the carabiner as a decoration. I also do not believe that even IF you did manage to get several keys onto the wheel's ring, that the chain would not just pull off from the weight of the keys. I can recommend this as a decorative addition to your keychain, or even a purse charm (that chain though). I definitely like it enough to keep this, and even think it would make a good gift for an artist friend. There are pin versions too, and the review section seem to mix both of those together. Actually, you could remove the chain, leaving the jump ring, and put the color wheel on a longer chain or a cord and wear it as a necklace!
