I bought this bit to drill holes in glass...5 (FIVE!!) holes from new and it's blunt, useless and will not even touch the glass I'm trying to drill. What a waste of $27. I bought this after reading reviews on cheaper bits and most saying "at least when you buy Dremel you get quality". Rubbish.

This drill bit works great. I've been able to drill holes in about 30 pieces of glass so far and it is showing very little wear. I use lite pressure, I do use the oil provided and I stop frequently and wipe the drill bit off and use a needle to poke into the holes to remove any glass dust that accumulates. This is a little time consuming, but well worth the time if it extends the life of the drill bit.

Works great to get the perfect hole I need and size, in the beach glass I sell. I drill in water with a coolant, using a wand, as electricity and water do not mix, you never want to use a Dremel unit directly with a bit in it, even is you suspend it in the Dremel Press unit.Spend the extra money and buy the wand attachment, this way you can hold the glass with your hand and drill in water with the coolant and there is no risk of getting electrocuted as your unit should be suspended above you. Also, a word of advice, don't drill completely through on your first attempt, flip the glass over when you have a smidge left to get completely through, so you don't blast out the back of your glass. Go slow, take your time, keep the bit cooled and you will be very happy with the outcome. I think I need to get more of these on hand!
