I bought this set for my CX-5 to use in Southern California. The dead pedal didn’t work at all, just fell right off. It included double sided tape, which doesn’t work on carpet. The brake pedal and accelerator pedal cover fit great.

Very easy install and came out looking great. I am more than pleased and hardly ever give 5 star reviews but this one gets it from me.And it was so much cheaper than what I would've gotten from the dealer.

I just received these so this is more of an initial review about the look and feel of the product and the installation process. The pedal covers were more solid and heavier than I expected, although the metal does feel like relatively low quality hot metal. However, I don't think it will matter for this use case and they look quite solid so I was pleased.It is tricky to get the break cover on, it is the only one of the three that replaces an existing pedal cover that the car comes with. But it is not impossible, and just took a few minutes of pulling and wiggling. The gas pedal cover just slides on. The dead pedal on the left is a nice piece of hardware but, as others here have pointed out, the manufacturers of this product did not come up with a plausible solution for attaching it to carpeting. It has three strips of relatively low quality double-sided tape, and that's it. I don't expect it to stay in place for long, and we'll have to think of an alternative means of attaching it, but it's not easy to attach anything to carpeting without some kind of drilling or otherwise creating fixed connection points. So I may just buy more double-sided tape and call it a day. Certainly the dead pedal was the main reason I bought this item, since I found it really strange that Mazda expects us to rest our dirty feet on carpeting, they really should have put something sturdy there.Overall, I would recommend these, they are much cheaper than the ones the dealership offered, and I expect they will last. The attachment of the dead pedal cover is the only thing that I expect will require more work.

The brake pedal is a bit of a struggle to get on. The top (if I remember correctly) and the left side have tabs that assist with the installation, if the right side had one as well it would be so much easier to install. The gas pedal wasn’t difficult but doesn’t feel nearly as secure. I flopped my foot around in knee jerk reaction movements in attempt to dislodge or knock them off… They both stayed in place so I feel like they will be ok. Time will be the ultimate test.The foot rest is only secured with double sided adhesive sticking it to the carpet. Not sure how long it will hold, once again time shall tell.

Yes the other reviews are correct about the brake pedal taking some effort and you absolutely need to buy Velcro dots if applying the dead pedal on carpet but the time and energy is worth it. They look absolutely amazing and really added to the looks of my vehicle. They are on sturdy and solid and worked well with my wet shoes from the rain. A great value in my opinion.
