You got what you paid for. Not bad, reliable but doesn’t sound good but not crisp!

I bought the black 4-way speakers and they sound very good with my Pioneer deck (no amp). They fit perfectly on my 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup without modification. I previously had the cheaper BOSS 3-way speakers for about 11 years, but I think one or both of them were defective from the start, which I didn't know until I inspected them after removing them. These new speakers are so much better. I'm glad I choose the best 6x9 model from BOSS, because they seem to be higher quality and sound amazing to me while still being competitively priced. I also did the installation slightly better this time by soldering my adapter wires to the speakers instead of using the slide-on connectors. I used the slide-on connectors last time and the connections going in and out. I also installed some adhesive foam tape around the rims of my speaker mounting holes on my front doors, which might help reduce rattling noises.

These 6x9 speakers went into the rear shelf of my 69 Firebird. They fit flush under the shelf and package tray cover. Nice fitment and they sound great!

Installed in my classic 1981 stepside chevy truck. Really impressed with speaker sound etc.

After removing the factory adapter for the front speakers and used then on the new Boss speakers it was a perfect fit for my 2005 ram 2500. The only issue was the wires that came with the speakers and trying to figure out polarity. Issue was resolved when I found adapter wire harness from Red Wolf part # 72-6514 and it became just a plug and play very decent sound. Caution when installing speakers make sure the wires do not interfere with widow
