Poor quality item. This will never return to you no matter how good the throw is. I wont even call this a boomerang! Because it never returns !

Look, this is a boomerang made from very thin wood with Australian Aboriginal-ish art printed on it. I have no idea if it "works" or is more technically described as "a stick".I bought mine as a humorous "emergency fondling boomerang" to hang on the wall when I had an Australian guest, explaining that in the event of sudden onset homesickness he could break it out of the packing and hold it while contemplating the Dreamtime Imagery to restore calmness. In that capacity it was a great success. If I had to hazard a guess I would say that in low-wind conditions, with the correct technique, it should exhibit the sudden pop-up curved flight pattern these things have (getting them to "come back" is an art you have to work at).If you want a boomerang that comes back when you throw it (the right way) reliably you should either look in a sports store or visit a model shop and invest in two pieces of light wood, Balsa is best, about 15 inches long and maybe an inch wide and perhaps 1/8 thick. You chamfer the sides with sand paper then fasten them together in a cross shape using a rubber band. Go outside when there's little to no wind and throw the thing so it spins horizontally. Experiment with sliding the wood to make the cross asymmetric. That's how we made them when I was a kid.You should take care when throwing any boomerang, as the tips are traveling a good clip faster than the whole device and I once inflicted stitches in a fellow enthusiast who caught a pop-up in the face when I was younger.NB: Historically, boomerangs were thrown weapons and often did not come back whether or not they hit the target.
