Perfectly satisfactory alternative to Oxo stainless bowl salad spinner. The pump mechanism works well, though if you press it too far down it locks rather easier than I'm used to. The "stop button" (for shocking the water off using g-force) is about as effective as usual on such items. No nasty plastic smell when originally opened. Machining is good quality. Nice rubber grip on the underside of the bowl. All in all, a good item in comparison to the almost twice as expensive alternatives.

I lived most of my life without a salad spinner. I finally bought a cheap plastic one & loved it but it didn't wear well. So, my next purchase was to be one that would last! This one, with the stainless steel bowl is an excellent choice. My only nit to pick is the push plunger: the internal mechanism intrudes into the bowl quite a bit, so if you have a whole bowl of cucumbers or other larger veg, you have to arrange them around the sides of the basket.I retired my plastic one to be a swimsuit spinner to wring out suites after the hot tub so they can hang dry inside in the winter.

Love almost every feature of this. But in the lid housing it is growing mold and there is debris in there, I have Kelley it clean and I have only had it about a month to two. I can’t get into it to clean it. Disappointed.

Just got this stainless steel spinner and seems to work ok so far. After my old plastic spinner dropped and cracked, I figured to look for a more solid and pretty design. The metal bowl outside and inner plastic strainer seems durably made. So no concerns about the material.The spinning knob in the lid comes out a bit of force every time you unlock it unless you hold your hand over it, making me wonder if over time it might cause some damage to the lid.The big notable thing I didn't expect from this is that there are no clasps to lock the lid to the metal bowl. So you will need to use both hands to keep it closed whenever draining water. I feel that was an easy thing that should have been included in the design.Besides that, seems good enough to give 4 stars unless something changes.

This is an awesome salad spinner. It's stable with a little weight to the bottom, large for families, looks nice, and should last. I wish it had a separate lid for storing in the fridge and that the top separated for easier cleaning (it has the spinner mechanism built into the lid)
