This is by far the best socket set I have ever bought. The quality is unmatched and I love that it comes with a lifetime warranty which I highly doubt I’ll even need because these sockets are of the highest quality. If you’re looking for a socket set that will probably be the last one you will ever have to buy for your entire life, then this is the one for you.

The first thing I noticed with the set was that it’s heavy as it weighs approx. 27lbs, so definitely not light. The set is stored in a very nice hard shelled plastic case. It has a textured surface with some orange flares on the body, the orange locking latches and in the brand name.I have to say, the locking latches feel like cheap plastic, something like you’d find on a toy. I’m not sure how durable they will be.Opening the case and you have all the sockets have their individual cutouts that are labelled. Luckily, they were labelled as some of the extension rods and sockets were knocked loose and have shifted positions and bouncing around inside. There are both metric as well as SAE sizes, so it should be able to fit most nuts/bolts you may be working with. Plus, it includes both standard depth and deep sockets. They’re made of durable Chrome Vanadium steel, and everything has a black phosphate coating that should help with abrasion and corrosion resistance. The coating is matte and provides extra grip, but the finish doesn’t look as clean/consistent as other coatings I’ve seen. The sockets are impact rated so you can use them for home or professional scenarios, from tightening up some bolts on a swing to working on your car/truck.All pieces have been stamped/engraved and laser etched with the size. The laser etching makes it very easy to see the size of socket, and on a worst-case scenario, if the etching were to get scraped off, the size is also stamped/engraved into the lower side of each socket, so you’ll always know what each piece is.There is a hole at the side of each socket, and I found this was to lock onto the ball detent on the socket wrench. When inserted into the wrench the proper way (with the hole lined up with the detent ball), the socket will not fall off or get accidently pulled off until you press the release button on the back of the socket wrench. The socket wrench also has the same black phosphate coating and laser etching of the brand into the handle. The handle does not have any knurling, so the matte coating should provide decent grip. As mentioned before, the coating is a bit inconsistent or stained, so hopefully this doesn’t affect the durability.Overall, an excellent set of standard/deep socket set. Quality steel, impact rated, with a black phosphate coating to help with corrosion resistance. The set is both metric and SAE so it should fit almost anything you can throw at it. It also comes with a lifetime guarantee. I do wish the coating was a bit more consistent and the latches on the case felt more durable, but other than that, I have no complaints and would highly recommend this set.

At just under 30 pounds, this Chrome-Vanadium socket set truly earns its 'heavy-duty' label. However, when I compared the 1-inch deep socket from this set with a 1-inch deep socket from a smaller, older set I own, I noticed a difference. Despite having the same size and length, my older socket is beefier and heavier—330g versus 284g for this new socket. That’s a 14% reduction in weight. What does this mean? Probably nothing significant. My older set has proven its toughness, and I doubt this small weight difference will make the new set any less durable. On the upside, these new sockets are thin enough to fit into the recessed holes on my mag wheels, unlike the older sockets. The tools come pre-oiled with what seems like a 'more is better' philosophy, so I had to wipe them down before their first use.Only the deep-pocket sockets have their sizes engraved; the shorter sockets have printed sizes that are likely to wear off over time. However, since the case has embossed size indicators for each socket, and each socket fits perfectly into its designated spot, it would still be possible to figure out the size by the case’s labels. At 9.75 inches long, the ratchet wrench is well-suited for most tasks, though I’ll be using a larger ratchet for lug nuts and other high-torque situations. The molded plastic case is well-made, but be aware that the sockets are snapped into place on only one half of the case—this is the half that should be folded on top of the other if you want to avoid a mess.Overall, this is a complete and quality product at a reasonable price.

When I received the package I was actually surprised at how heavy the tool set was, that just shows the quality of the material used is durable. I actually have a mastercraft socket set that I'm currently been using for many many years however the reason why I purchased this one is because it is an impact set and it has a lot of extended tubes which my mastercraft set lacks and also it comes with a long 19 mm socket which I can use to remove the lug nuts off of my vehicle. I really appreciate that it came with an extra ratchet as most tool sets don't come with this piece and it has multiple extension rods inside. Another thing that I like is that the surface of the tools are actually a matte black paint it's not painted glossy black which can get slippery sometimes especially if you get grease or oil on them. The only minor annoyance that I have is that the tool set does not come with all of the cutouts to hold some of the sockets in properly I noticed that a lot of the sockets were sitting vertically and they were loose when I pick up the case to carry it around the sockets become dislodged inside. Other than that this tool set is an affordable alternative to some of the more expensive brands, it does get the job done whether you use this as the main tool set or a backup tool set.
