It's ok. It holds the amount of cord that it says it will but most of it had to be hand fed into the basket. It would crank in for a short time and then slide off to the side between the roller where it wouldn't feed anymore. I probably wouldn't buy it again. If you don't mind hand feeding it a lot, go for it. It does at least get it off the floor.

It’s not often that I’m disappointed in a purchase that I make on Amazon however, this product now fulfills that. The plastic parts leave a lot to be desired, and the design is unfortunately flawed. As I was winding the cord for the first time, I was thinking, “this thing is gonna break the first time I use it.” well low and behold, a piece actually popped off while I was winding the cord FOR THE FIRST TIME.I am thoroughly disappointed in this product, will probably be returning it, and trying something different.I absolutely do not recommend this product.

This is easiest and quickest way to organize my cord while doing my yard work of cutting and blowing leaves/grass. I just detach easily, move it to another location, attach and continue working with my power tools. Then the easy winding after my work is done, detach and store it in my garage attaching it neatly.

This is really helpful for long extension cords. The assembly is straight forward, and I've used it for almost a year now with no problems. The net can hold a 100ft cable without any problems. Definitely recommend it as a replacement of the old spools!

I have been looking for a cord reel to hold my 100 foot 12/3 extension cord. None seem to exist, and I'm so tired of winding this cord up on my arms and then having to untangle it when I need to use it. This past summer, I noticed someone commented that they used this for their 100 foot 12/3 cord, so I couldn't resist seeing for myself if it would work. The reel was easy to assemble and hang on the wall. I found it a bit awkward winding the cord into the basket, but if this device held the entire cord, I'd be ecstatic! Well, IT WORKED! At first, the cord needed to be coaxed around the inside of the net at times because it had the tendency to loop back in the other direction. Each time thereafter, the cord required less assistance to circle around the interior of the net. It also looked as if the net was going to give way from the weight of the cord, but it continues to hold it securely. The winder appears to be made of cheap plastic and could have been made of better materials but, so far, it's holding up well. Since this is the only winder I have found anywhere that is able to hold a 100 foot 12/3 cord, I'm happy to give it 5 stars!
