I really wanted/needed a brightly back-lit clock or a bright digital read-out clock for a specific area in my home - preferably one that uses batteries - so to have no cord. THIS is an excellent-quality, multi-info, atomic, clock with clear lettering, and no need to be plugged in, but back-lighting isn't great. I am looking for exactly this except with a bright digital read-out that I can see from across the room. My husband says the kind of clock I need/want doesn't exist, so I will love this one until someone invents the one I see in my mind's eye. TY TY TY

I ordered this clock January 1st, 2021. This is the easiest atomic clock I’ve ever owned. You only tell it the time zone, after putting batteries in.When I put the batteries in it, it immediately learned the day, date and correct time. It immediately updated the time when Daylight Savings Time changed. It already had the correct time when I woke up in the morning.I was concerned how long the batteries would last, because it lights up (backlit) in the dark, and stays lit all night. Well, I t’s still working on the same set of batteries after a whole year. Amazing!I keep it by my bed, so I can see the time in the dark. BTW, I wear glasses, and the large numbers are readable w/o my glasses.I purchased a second one for the family room (in April), and I just bought 6 more for Christmas gifts. It’s a great clock!

This clock is larger than most table models. As for ease of setting it up..... It was easy to set but it did not sync with the atomic clock for 6 days. I wrote the company.... no answer. I called the company..... no call back. It would jump ahead 16 hours every time we tried to fix it. Left it for the night (near a window) hoping it would sync and it finally did last night. Can't rate the battery or durability as we've only had it six days. Seems to be OK now. We're not happy with the seller's lack of response.Update: I changed my review to 5 stars. I love this clock. I've had it about a year. It does exactly what the ad says. I have the light on 24/7 and I've only had to change the batteries twice. You have plenty of warning by the display and it resets itself after you change the batteries. The only thing I had to "fix" was the time zone. Would recommend this clock. Thank you to the people who answered questions asked. You were all a great help.

Numbers are large for vision impaired customers. Auto background night light. Shows:1. Month, day and day of the week (no year). When you set it up, you set the year when you set up your lock.2. The temperature in your room where the clock is in and3. Percentage of humidity in the room where the clock is at.Con:It says it will auto set itself without me manually doing it. It instructs to leave the unit to stay close to the window overnight so it can set. Mines never did.Other than that.........-Queenie approved.

As I write, I've only had this clock for a week, but I think it's a great timepiece. I bought it to replace my old Seiko Chime Wall Clock. Set up is a snap by following the user manual. Synchronization is easily done by placing it near the window. don't need to wait overnight. This clock syncs every night. I have no difficulty reading it from any reasonable angle. The backlighting is enough to allow the information to be read in the dark, but not so bright as to disturb sleep. And the hour and minute numerals are large enough to allow me to read them without my glasses.
