These are nice hinges. They're smooth and easy to use. No catching, no vibration, no noise. They seem like they'll be perfect for what I intend them for. They're a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. They're quality from everything I can tell. Installation isn't as simple as a regular door hinge, and takes some time and patience. But if you're handy, or have someone to help you, you can make some really cool projects with this, from large center pivot doors, hidden doors, fancy hinge-less appearance applications. Tons of applications and ability to create some unique doors and designs. These are a platform for creativity.No complaints. I would recommend.

This was one of the two brands I ordered recently. The hinge part of it works great and is very smooth, but the tightening lever has a lot of slack and doesn't screw down very smoothly.Pros: The pivot points are tight and very smooth. The lower pivot has a bearing pressed into it. The mounting holes are chamfered to recess the screws. It comes with a spring loaded ball style catch.Cons: The tightening lever has too much slack and doesn't move smoothly into position. I almost had to thread the screw all the way through to get it to tighten. Also, the mounting screws are too short in my opinion. This might be okay for a small door, but I'm not sure I would want to put the claimed 440lbs on it.

I have always LOVED the hidden rooms accessed by opening a bookcase. Twelve years ago I built my current home and that project was on the list. I found one place on the internet that specialized in hidden rooms and they wanted a fortune for the hardware. I ended up fabricating my own hinge and it does work great. My only issue is the bookcase-door holds just a few books and mostly display items because I would not trust my hinge to the weight of a loaded bookcase. I am building a new home and want to do another. This is very good quality and will take the weight of an actual book case with books. I love it.

Seems like a sturdy hinge that will do what it's supposed to. Instructions are simple but clear. Parts were all packaged nicely. Hinge seems to be well made. I am not ready to install it yet but I look forward to working on my project and putting it to the test.
