When work and kids and all the crap piles up, it’s hard to stay focused on the important things. This book gives you that focus, if you take the time to use it. It’s got all the big hitters - priorities, affirmations, gratefulness, wins, what to work on, etc. Heck, even if you don’t stop and write in it, it’s helpful to see it around so you can stop and think for a second.The cover is nice and the bookmark and pen holder are nice touches. This would be a very thoughtful gift.

I've been using this for over a week and I'll say that this self-mastery journal is well designed and constructed.There isn't a lot of instruction to it, but it's pretty self explanatory. You identify what you want to achieve over the course of 15-weeks; you establish your top 3 goals which align with what you want to achieve; you write out your why statement to explain its importance to you; and finish with a visualization exercise for how it will feel wihen this goal is achieved. And that's just page 1.The remaining pages are your daily exercises of identifying your top 3 goals, writing down affirmations, gratitude items, and wins & loses from the day. The opposite page is there to give you a journaling prompt which are fairly though provoking. There's even a small grid-section on the right-side if you're looking to utilize it in some form or fashion.The paper weight is stronger than bulk sheets, but not so rigid as cardstock and there is no ink bleed through from page to page that I could find with my pen. There is a ribbon style bookmark and an elastic strap to keep it held closed. There's also an attached loop for a pen, so you're never without it.The construction is well thought out and the pages can pretty much lay flat with the way it was done. Overall I'm really pleased with it.
