I'm very happy with these fans. I have an Alienware M15 R5 Ryzen and these are direct drop-in replacements for the stock fans. I was having major issues with a fan bearing that was causing my CPU fan to sound like it had a stick hitting the blades. After removing the battery, disconnecting about six different fragile ribbon cables and removing the whole motherboard, i was able to drop this new fan in. I was concerned that it would have a different sound since the originals had a specific sound profile but this sounds exact to the old fans. So far its been great and i have zero complaints, it fit perfectly and runs like an OEM fan. I will say that if you plan on doing this yourself, prepare for a good hour, hour and a half venture. This is not a repair most people should attempt unless you're comfortable taking ribbon cables apart and have a decent system for keeping track of screws. Do yourself a favor and TAKE PHOTOS of the board before you work on it.

I was able to replace a faulty GPU fan ( grinding noise) with this item. Perfect fit for the original fan. Works well. Laptop is back to its usual hum even when both fans are turned on . HINT : use the Alienware utility to set the "THEMAL" setting to FULL SPEED to force both fans to turn on. Also, be ready for a patient 1-2 hours to replace the fan.. helpful videos on Youtube ( check for "Alienware m15 R5 fan") . Many small cables need to be disconnected and the motherboard removed, so you can access the underside of the fan to replace it.
