I’m a retired locksmith and ordered these for my own home. Remarkable quality for the price and easy mounting. One thing that drives me crazy about some lever handles is the set screw that secures them to the spindle often allow the handles to get loose and even pull off after awhile. The way this lock is designed is really ideal and I can’t see the handles ever coming loose. I bought one set to examine and install as a test first, then once satisfied bought enough for the entire house. Instructions are somewhat lacking in detail but anyone with basic mechanical abilities should not have a problem.

After a remodel we changed the style of hardware and I wanted to change the locks as we had a great many reconstruction people in the house with keyed access. I bought this for the garage entry into the house and it is very well made and virtually indestructible and looks great. You get a real solid feel when you grasp the handle to open the door, unlike other more flimsy models that I tested at the hardware store. I didn't like any of them. I am thinking of buying another as continue to change hardware throughout the house.

We got this to replace a traditional round door knob that our Chow Chow chewed and mangled, and this is a great replacement. Easy to install and works very well. Solid and sturdy handle, and both the door handle and deadbolt lock are smooth and easy to open and lock. Very pleased and highly recommend. And oh, the handle is solid and smooth enough that our Chow Chow can no longer grip his maw around it.

Nice solid and heavy handle. Once installed it looks good and feels good in the hand. Latch mechanism moves smoothly, doesn't jam.Pictoral instructions that are more or less useless. They don't say what to do with a stamped centering plate- it goes on the outside or high use side, with the raised portion facing into the door. They don't say how the privacy lock works - push it on the inside to lock, turn the inside lever to unlock. And since most people will be replacing an existing handle, it would be nice to show some of the many thing that might be required to instal where the old handle was.I happen to be installing some "Designer Impressions" brand satin nickel lever handles from "Cabinet Hardware 4 Less" that I also bought here on Amazon. $7 less and very clearly made in the same factory, with the same castings, same internal mechanism, same centering piece, same privacy lock mechanism. At least the DI handle says made in China, while the Berlin Modisch says nothing about the factory location.Like the DI handle, the strike plate hole is round, with a flat on one side. The strike plates I was replacing had a D-shaped opening, so they were much more tolerant of the height of the door. I've spent quite a bit of time dealing with doors that didn't latch because the strike plate wasn't at the right height for these new handles.Like the DI handle, the installation information is poor. If you are drilling a slab to install these, then you really don't care about the docs as you have the tools and knowledge to do what you need to do. Neither tell you what to do with the centering plate. The DI handles include both squared and rounded corner strike plate and latch plates. In my house, half the doors use square and half use rounded, so I really like that I can select which is appropriate for the situation at hand. The Berlin Modisch handles include only the square cornered plates, so extra chisel work for you if the existing door has rounded corner plates. The setscrew for the handle is on the outside of the BM handles but on the inside for the DI handles. The inside is a much better location as you don't see it then.I only got the BM handle because it matched a Kwikset handle I already had and I couldn't get the privacy version of the Kwikset. Otherwise, you are much better off in all regards to get the DI handle for less.
