I got this YPLFanHand 20V battery as a backup for my Dewalt cordless tools, and I have been really happy with it. The battery holds a charge well and delivers strong, consistent power throughout use. I have been using it with my impact driver and circular saw, and it performs just as well as the original Dewalt batteries.The compatibility is excellent. It works with all my DCD and DCF series tools and fits perfectly into the charger without any issues. The LED indicator is a nice touch. It shows how much charge is left so I can plan ahead and never get caught with a dead battery in the middle of a project.What gives me peace of mind is knowing the battery is safety certified. I have not had any overheating or charging issues and it feels solid and well-made. For anyone who works with power tools regularly, that kind of reliability is important.I also appreciate the care instructions that came with it. Fully charging it before the first use and storing it properly definitely seems to help with longevity. This Shenzhen Yipinliang Digital Technology Co./YPLFanHand 20V Battery Replacement for Dewalt Batteries fits all of my Dewalt and Dewalt compatible tools and chargers perfectly. No noticable difference in performance and battery life that the OEM batteries. This YPLFanHand battery is more than competitively priced and, based on performance and cost, a darn good value.Although I've used this battery with several Dewalt and/or Dewalt compatible tools, I haven't had it long enough to evaluate its performance over the long term, hence the 4 start instead of 5 star rating. If it fails to live up to my expectations for battery life based on the OEM batteries, I will update this review. Otherwise assume the battery live is competitive.

For the past three years or so I have exclusively purchased third party batteries for my Dewalt, Ryobi, B & D, and Greenworks tools. OEM batteries have just gotten too expensive, and the knockoffs have generally functioned well at a huge savings.I have over 30 Dewalt compatible third-party batteries and all but one have worked great. The only bad one was a brick when I received it... never worked. I say that to emphasize that durability and quality... regardless of vendor... has been good.This battery synced up fine with my chargers. I tested it with my sander, and it worked great with no issues. This is rated at 3.0 Ah, and I would say it is close to that capacity. If you do heavier work like using a circular saw, I would encourage you to grab a larger capacity battery.Overall, this is a very good battery and an excellent value.

Aftermarket lithium batteries (of all types) routinely overstate their actual capacity so forget the 3AH label. This battery is the same size and weight as the DEWALT 1.5AH battery, which is a pretty good indicator of its actual capacity. I have several other off-brand batteries of the same physical size and they all perform about the same (or not much better) than the DEWALT 1.5AH. I expect this battery to be the same.That said, it's a battery that works well in low-drain 20V tools (or 18V tools with an adapter) such as drills and drivers and it costs less than the DEWALT brand. All the 20V batteries I have bought over the years (name brand and off brand) are still working well, so I believe this one will last too.Oh, and it has three charge indicator LEDs - which the DEWALT brand 1.5AH battery doesn't.

This battery has been a solid performer across my range of DeWalt 20V MAX tools. I've used it consistently in my impact driver, orbital sander, shop vac, and jigsaw, and its performance is virtually indistinguishable from my original DeWalt batteries. Charge duration and overall runtime have been reliably good.I noticed another review questioning the advertised 3Ah capacity, so I decided to check it myself. After carefully opening the battery pack (see photos), I confirmed it uses five standard 18650 lithium-ion cells, each rated at 3.7V and 3000mAh (3Ah). These are wired in series to achieve the 20V rating, and as expected with series wiring, the total capacity remains that of a single cell – 3Ah.This technical confirmation aligns with my real-world experience. The runtime I get when using it for tasks like mixing small batches of tile mortar is right on par with my genuine DeWalt 3Ah batteries. If you're looking for a cost-effective alternative this battery is a great choice based on my testing.
