I have spent way way too much time on these "collapsible" hiking poles only to discover that neither poles has a locking button! I have assemble it but I've had to use strong tape to keep the ends and middle from slipping out. I bought these for my elderly uncle and daughter to go away on a tour of a hilly city. I couldn't send them off with these so I bought them telescopic poles locally. This was very frustrating. Yes, i should have sent them back but the packaging was gone and I gave two of the feet to my uncle and his daughter to use for different surfaces. These were a waste of money.

Very lightweight, sturdy and easy to put together and take apart. Using them on a trip to Nicaragua and they are perfect. The price is extremely affordable especially for a product of this quality.
