Magnetic stir bars are sort of a commodity. It’s hard to find real distinguishing characteristics. In this case, I’m going to give a shout out to 3 things:1. Size range - I bought an automatic stirrer, and the bar that came with it was really too small for the vessel into which I was putting it. I went looking for a larger bar and found that for about the same price I could get this whole set with a rain small enough to be used in a test tube or a large beaker or jar.2. The set of bars comes with a pretty nice case with a unique spot for each bar.3. This is a really great value proposition. You get a whole set of stir bars in a range of sizes for chump-change more than a single bar.This is a really nice set, that definitely deserves five stars for value, nice case, and product size range.

These bars seem to have good magnetic force, and it's really nice to have a pretty good storage case included with the set, so the bars don't get lost. Nice product for a modest amount of money.

Seem to be very good thus far. Survived a 232C distillation that went for 3 hours. Spinning was very strong, and the magnetic fields are very strong. The large one will pull the other bars out when removing from the holder. The smallest one will work in test tubes. Overall very satisfied thus far. Will update if they lose magnetism after distilling sulfuric acid at 340C+ degrees. :)

It's useful to have an assortment of different sizes of stirrers without having to buy 10 of each size. These seem like decent quality and I hope that they will last a long time. I'll update this review after I've had a chance to use them a little more.

These seems to work as described, but I'm disappointed that the ones I got were a lot smoother than the image showed. The benefit of the ring/belt in the center is that it makes it easier for the rod to spin as there's less drag. Ultimately though, not a big issue.Comes in a nice little box that seems fairly durable, which is an improvement over many boxes I've gotten various products contained in.The magnets inside the rods seems to be sufficiently strong for most needs.
