I had used these roof racks only three times. I assembled them according to the manufacturer instructions. After the third time of use, the roof racks completely broke away from my vehicle, leaving the pieces shattered. The road we traveled on has a strict 55 mph limit, and we were going 50 mph.Luckily we did not cause anyone to be in an accident, but I would never buy these again. Less than five minutes from home and both the kayaks and the racks completely broke away from the car and flew into the middle of the road. Had I known they would be made so cheaply I would have never invested in these.On top of that, the roof of my car has been completely destroyed. We were celebrating my wife’s 33rd birthday May 10th (the return window closed on May 8th which is also her birthday). I am so disappointed in this purchase.

Cross bars perfect fit 2018 KIA Soul. Product package arrived undamaged. All pieces were present. 2 sizes wrenches included. 4 long bolts times 2 included (2 different lengths 4 each, I used the longest 4 of 8 total). The install went smoothly following the instructions (as other reviews mention that aligning vertical bolts at towers down through to attach to car is challenging getting lined up). Great looking. I'm going to get a cargo carrier box like Yakima or Thule. I recommend for KIA Soul.

Not for beginners! 15mins assembled and 28 mins installation for me on my Kia Soul today. Lose one star for bolts being short at 90mm and should of been 95mm m6x1.0. Overall it's solid build but we shall see.

This does require some level of in patience to install. Couple tips: (1)run the attachment bolts in and out of the captive nut on the car. This will clean up threads; additionally take note of angle that the bolts is at when installed. There is a bit of a angle. (2) the supply gasket is flexible and will roll under during installation and make it difficult to align everything properly; tape wrap a screwdriver or a non-mar installation tool to keep the gasket out so that it will flare properly when you tighten the bolt.( 3) install the plastic standoff and gasket screw the bolt to make sure everything is perfectly aligned. Install cross brace without disturbing after removing the bolt. install Bolt after slightly compressing the gasket by pushing down . just remember the angle to get a few threads are started. Make sure that the gasket isn’t rolled under and flared properly for good sealing and to allow for proper tightening. Hope this helps. Remember to align everything as perfect as can be before starting the bolt!
