I live in Long Beach and can access a repeater in Catalina that covers the southern California coast to the mountains. About 10 million people I suppose. If i had 2, I could talk to my wife while she was out training horses. But I would need another radio, a horse ranch and a wife.

After the return period expired, the speaker failed in the "frequency mode". Also, the radio never indicated a return tone from the repeater. Information on the page Amazon showing my purchases had a link to Baofeng for help support. Baofeng said the radio was purchased through TIDRADIO and not the Baofeng site; saying support help must be made through Tidradio. The Tidradio support site is difficult to navigate and unable to locate my issues with product; phone number is a busy signal. If more is needed from the Tidradio site to make the radio operate properly, that should be included on the product page on Amazon for buyers to consider; same goes for the programming cable purchased which is not recognized by laptop computers running widows 10 and 11. The cheap price of Baofeng is a lesson learned and will save up to pay more for a radio that works as expected. One good thing about this radio was longer than expected battery life, but sadly it is with other waste, awaiting time until ready to be transferred to local household electronic waste disposal facility. Cannot find Tidradio link through Amazon. Suggest Avoid TIDRADIO.

The radio quality is great and very easy to use. the reason for 2 stars is it did not come with the TD-771 Hign Gain Long Antenna for both radios.Update: now 5 star cause I’m a dummy and didn’t check under the contents tray in the box which is where they were located though most folks like me wouldn’t know that so might want to try and put them with everything else but it’s my fault and not sellers so just a heads up check the entire box and remove the white tray everything is in before tossing box 😁 your welcome.

These units are perfect for my fishing trips. The hands free option is great when I’m on the river. The quality and accessories are great. I have not fully tested the range but what I have gone to has been decent. You can’t beat the price for what you get. It’s a perfect set to have for your day or weekend trips.

This has been a very good radio so far. I've had good success with other Baofengs, so no shock there. The longer antenna does fairly well (no flexible antenna is ever great, but it's the tradeoff you have to make to get something that fits on a HT). Battery life is good, and the charger works well. It receives all the frequencies advertised without difficulty.

Muy buen radio. Copia las frecuencias de otros radios perfectamente. Dura muchísimo la batería. Me encantó.
