I'm a fan of these strings for maple or bright-sounding guitars. I found the sound to be a bit more mellow which is what I was seeking. Mellower tone. strings/ tension to be perfect. Aside from finger-style, I sometimes use a pick to play jazz.

The tone and response on these strings are so far the best.However, on the first set I put on, the first string had intonation problems. I replaced the first string with an old Augustine Regal and I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd strings.The second set I put on, I found these little hairs on the strings - there are parts of the strings totally not polished. I polished the worst string with 2000 grid sandpaper, then the intonation was off.The third set I put on, the first string snapped and broke during the wind up, and the 2nd 3rd, while they were polished properly, both had intonation problems.You really need to look into these problems. It will be a while until I try these strings again.
