I enjoyed putting this together, my first model kit in around a decade. Fairly easy, not too many small features to work with, except for the decals on the X-15 which are very small, but worth the challenge because it looks fantastic attached to the mothership. I was impressed so I bought another kit from Atlantis for my next project.

I purchased this after consulting several online reviews and build logs that led me to expect soft molding, fit issues, and poorly formed parts. When my kit arrived I was pleased to find the parts crisply molded (with some depressions and wrinkles characteristic of older kits). There was no flash at all and the few parts I dry fitted went together snug and should need little if any filler. The tiny X-15 is crisp and its corners sharp. I look forward to adding this great kit to my vintage man in space collection. One star deducted because this was mailed in a plastic envelope and arrived with a badly crushed box. Parts were not damaged so that is OK for me but be aware if box condition is an issue for you UPDATE 8/25/22 I purchased a second kit to make another of the many variants of the "Balls Three" b-52. Kit has a top seam that needs a little work and represents an early b-52 without the specialized viewing ports and cameras characteristic of the x-15 program. In spite it builds up nice and I am happy with it. Second kit was mailed in a stiff box with cushion packing so I gave back the fifth star i had deducted during earlier review.

I find it disturbing that your warehouse people did not have the sense to put this kit into another box before shipping. The cardboard is very thin. Just mailing it in its factory cellophane is something that you need to work on. I had been anticipating this order and met the delivery man at the door. He seemed embarrassed that he was delivering damaged goods. He gave me the option right there to refuse delivery, but I accepted it anyway. I thought that it was just superficial damage to the box and the parts would be OK. I was right, but the next person may not be so nice.

All parts fit together fairly well except for the engine struts. Those had to be narrowed down with an exacto knife. Iam very pleased how it turned out.

El clásico molde de Revell reeditando por Atlantis, muy bien detallado, el modelo clásico que faltaba en mi colección, buen tamaño, buenas calcas.

the decals were very good. the plastic parts need a lot of work.
