I had my worst experience buying this laptop from Amazon. It has a major hardware problem which a blue screen pops up very often. Recently a new problem has been added, it doesn’t connect to the power neither charge sometimes and I have to borrow my friend’s laptop every other day.I wish company was responsible for these provoking issues I’ve faced through this purchase.

After daily driving the Zenbook Flip for a couple of years, I can recommend the laptop only to someone who needs the functionality of the 2-in-1. Every other feature on this laptop is lackluster at best. The included stylus is fine, but there are better options out there. The keyboard is designed to mimic apple's poorly designed butterfly keyboard. The keyboard is fine for typing in short bursts, but any prolonged typing session is annoying, as the tactile feedback is absolutely awful, and probably this laptop's worst feature. The trackpad is also a weak point for the laptop. There is too much friction, making any prolonged use annoying. However, the clicking mechanism on the track pad is nice and tactile, a little loud, but acceptable. The windows fingerprint sensor is another weak point for the device, working fine for a month or two, but failing after that. The battery is not a selling point for the Zenbook Flip. I've gotten 6 hours of use out of the battery on the battery saving mode. However, the battery saving mode sacrifices a lot of performance, and I almost never use it. The onboard WiFi card is okay, but connecting to WiFi takes an excruciatingly long time. The onboard speakers fire downward, which leaves sound distorted and muffled, so a pair of earbuds or headphones are a must for any serious media consumption.Overall, the build quality is not great. The keyboard flexes when you type, and the screen is not tightly hinged, meaning the screen is knocked backwards any time you use the touchscreen. The integrated webcam is on the top bezel, which much better than some alternative thin and light laptops with the webcam on the bottom bezel. The webcam is advertised as HD, but the best quality video I can get out of it is 720p at 30fps. Its okay for a casual skype or zoom call, but anything more and you'll want a dedicated webcam.I generally use my laptop for document creation, some very light video editing, and web browsing. Overall the performance is not something to write home about. The included 8GB of DDR3 RAM are sluggish whenever you open web pages, programs, or do just about anything. I would recommend buying a config with more RAM, or upgrading to at least 16GB of RAM yourself.I love the IO on this thin and light laptop. In a market where laptops are moving towards only supporting a few thunderbolt-3 ports, the 2 USB A ports, usb c, full-sized HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro SD card reader are a great feature on this laptop.Tablet mode is where this laptop shines. The touchscreen is great, and unusual at this price point. If you really need a touchscreen and tablet mode for cheap, this, or some later models, are definitely for you. The best use case is probably photography. However, if you're a student, traditional office worker, or just want a laptop for your home, I'd look elsewhere.

This laptop really performs well for the price and is a better option for me vs. Chromebooks in a similar price range as it also of course runs full windows apps. I've read some negative reviews concerning the screen but I'm guess they must be referring to the HD version (1366x768) and not this Full HD version (1920x1080 ie. 1080p). The screen looks very decent and I'm very happy with performance of the m3 proccessor. It's also a great looking machine, feels very well made. In my opinion, the look and feel reminds me of the new Macbook Pros, at a fraction of the cost. The only 2 gripes I have are that the keyboard isn't backlit, and that I can't charge the laptop via USB-C, like with the Asus Chromebook C302CA, for example, but I still prefer the bigger screen (14 vs. 12.5 inches) and just purchased an extra power adapter so that I can leave one at home and one at work.Edit: I forgot to mention that in flip/tent or tablet mode, you can of course type right on the touch-screen in the dark, regardless of the non-backlit keyboard, and it also includes a stylus if you want to avoid fingerprints on the screen!

The laptop itself is great. I've had it for 5 months now. I love the touchscreen, fingerprint scanner, and backlit keyboard. The keypad is smooth and the keyboard is not too tough or sensitive. I mostly wear headphones, but when I don't, wow the speaker is amazing. The battery also lasts a long time. The stylus did not work at all, but that's no deal-breaker for me. I cannot part with this baby.**UPDATE**Had this laptop almost seven years now. It is still going strong, and the speed is still fast. Only cons are over heating (cooling pad quick fix), and charging cord can glitch out periodically. Also sometimes when the screen falls asleep, it won't turn back on, so you have to hard power off, then power back on. A few minor inconveniences for an otherwise AMAZING laptop. Was well worth the $900 investment seven years ago.

I've had it for almost a month, I've got the i5 8th gen Intel, 8gb RAM, 256gb SSD with intel UHD graphic card. No issues with the screen nor the Fingerprint sensor. Have been using it almost daily for University and my job as a photographer (due screen quality of colors - They are pretty good tho, nice balance and accuracy) , have been carrying it upside down, from here to there, in my backpack with my bunch of books and no problems. Maybe on the outside, one or two scratches in the aluminum body, but nothing to worry about.Sincerely not used to stand the computer in the tent mode or even the tablet mode except for when I'm chilling watching a movie or something like that. It's a pretty solid computer, I hope it's durable too.Battery life maybe it's not as good as expected, but with one full charge it will last a full day with intermittent usage, maybe 6-7 hrs of continuous use.I love it! Haven't had any problems with upgrades. No dead pixels in the screen at this time. Not frozen, not even once. Now, when it comes to overheating, I can say it gets warm when over throttling, I was rendering a video, pretty good performance tho: (60fps - 1080p - almost 15 mins of duration in only 30 mins using Sony Vegas, but it did got a lot warmer.
