I would HIGHLY advise against getting this monitor, and you should instead go for the LG version of this monitor. LG manufactures the panel on both, but as other have said, HDR on this particular monitor is unbelievably messed up. I bought this because I wanted the other features this had over the LG (KVM switch and ELMB - extreme low motion blur), but those features ALSO did not work well.CONS- Without HDR, you will have terrible color banding on the monitor for some reason- With HDR, you will have a weird 'tracing' of color around blurred objects, also all the colors get SEVERELY muted into a grayish mess.- Black details are completely crushed, low light gets weird banding and detail washes away- The ELMB DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. You must 1) have hdr disabled 2) switch your pc to EXACTLY 120hz because this doesn't work at 60hz and 3) have Gsync turned off. Even then, your game must be EXACTLY at 120hz, with no dips in framerate, otherwise you will get a sickening image that makes it even more blurry then before. For games like Elden Ring where it is always locked at 60hz, this feature is completely unusable, which sucks because you would want the ELMB to make up for the low framerate to increase the motion clarity.PROS- It is slightly brighter than the LG, but not worth all the consI returned this and opted for the LG and WOW, all I can say is that I wish I had done so from the get-go. There are zero problems with it, which is sad since the panel is the exact same unit as the ASUS. I even updated the firmware on the ASUS and the problems still persisted.

It is incredible, the colors are rich, and the HDR pops . I was nervous about this monitor because of all the mixed reviews. People either loved it or hated it. But for $750.00 for an OLED 39 curved, I decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did.Things to note: When I got the monitor, it had the 101 bios firmware, which I updated to 103. I also downloaded the display drivers, so when you check display properties,it will show you the model number and HDR 400 certification. Also, if you have any anomalies in the screen appearance, run the Asus widget app on your PC to do a pixel cleaning. It took care of any I had.Over all I highly recommend this PC montor

There arent a lot of reviews on this monitor. I know becasue I could barely find any.Ive been searching for the perfect monitor for awhile. I've tried a few. Im'm a software developer who games in my off time, so lets call it 60 Productivity / 40 Gaming. I recently bought the AW3225QF 32 inch 4k OLED which has great resolution for an OLED. The 32 lost the immersion in games and was just a little too small to have two windows open comfortable. I was trying to get away from a Samsung G9 that while looking great, didnt have enought vertical for software development and was too wide for gaming (The hud was way out).On paper, this is my perfect monitor - almost. I was reluctant due to the price and the resolution (3440x1400). The few reviews I saw mostly complained about poor text quality. The truth is, the internet is full of keyboard warriors who have an opinion but never tried it. Then it went on sale, so I took a chance. My take with it sitting in front of me? Its 90% of the monitor I wanted.I mounted it on my HD arm. Its taller than the G9 by 2 inches and a few inches narrower. Perfect size for gaming. OLED is beautiful for both games and productivity and I cant go back.Productivity:Its wide enough for 2 windows, 3 if one can be smaller. I get all the height of the 32. Scared about burn in? Not really. By the time I get any (if I do), Ill be upgrading anyways. This is a gen 3 panel, so theres a lot of ways to keep that from happening.Text Clarity:Heres my ONE complaint. What I wanted was exactly this monitor with either a 1600 height or higher resolution in OLED. They just dont exist - yet. Roadmap from LG says 2025, so hopefully a year or less away.Clarity is less than both my AW3225QF and my mini-led G9 - marginally (at standard settings). Im getting older. My eyes are getting worse, so while day one I noticed it, by day 2 I had all but forgotten. I made a few settings changes like upping scaling to 110%. In browsers, I went to 125%. I still have plenty of real estate. So heres my two cents, at the right price, for me, this will carry me I think until the same size is available in OLED at a higher resolution. Becasue I love everything else about this monitor, I plan for this to be my daily driver until an upgraded version is released. Until then, Id highly recommend this monitor.PS - this arrived on Friday. Tomorrow is Monday, so back to work. If anything changes when Im more productivity focused, I'll report back.

I have tested 5 different large display monitors and this one, by far, takes the cake for me. The resolution is perfect for both immersive gaming and productivity tasks which is a balance that I found difficult to achieve with other monitors.I've compared this with 2 Samsung Gaming monitors, the 55" Ark and the 43" flat gaming monitor. Also compared with the 48" LG gaming monitor and the 38" flat ASUS gaming monitors. No need to share part numbers because there's only one monitor with those specs from each manufacturer.Picture quality: Excellent, although I haven't tested HDR as some other reviews have mentioned, regular non-HDR picture quality is excellent in productivity apps, games and cinema.Variable Refresh Rate in games: I use G-Sync and it is flawlessCurvature: Perfect for me, as this monitor is placed arm length from me.Resolution: Perfect for immersive gaming and productivity (split screen too).Build quality: Excellent, the stand is solid, the monitor itself feels solid, but definitely follow instructions provided in the box.Gaming features: Excellent, you get the crosshair and you get to choose which kind. You also get a desktop app so you don't have to mess around the monitor menu if you'd like to change something quick. G-Sync works flawlessly. Variable Refresh Rate is a definite for gaming if you ask me, but you'll have to manually enable the feature.OLED Care: Excellent, monitor takes care of itself with pixel shifting, cleaning and screensaver so no worries about OLED related issues, much less likely to happen as a result.Text quality: I have seen little evidence of text quality issues, however this is App dependent. I have noticed this in some text boxes on few websites in my Firefox browser, but nowhere else. I use a variety of Microsoft productivity apps, other browsers as well and this is a non-issue for me, but your mileage may vary.In summary: Excellent monitor 5 stars, I hope other concerns brought up by previous reviews (text quality and HDR) get resolved soon with firmware, however I wasn't able to replicate them myself. Good job ASUS.

TL;DR: Very good image quality at first glance, so good for gaming. However, if you plan to use this monitor for a significant amount of productive work with text, reconsider. It is a decent OLED monitor with LG WOLED panels accompanied with all the pros and cons that comes with an OLED monitor: deep blacks and wide color gamut, text fringing, etc. Its image quality triumphs over all my previous non-OLED monitors, period. What I did not expect is the extent at which the text fringing would affect productivity. I have tried a variety of ways to reduce the amount of fringing:- enabling Asus Clear Pixel Edge;- adjusting, disabling, and re-enabling Windows ClearType;- using MacType;- increasing Windows scaling and text size;- setting flags disabling LCD text-display optimizations on Chrome and VS Code.Despite my efforts, text fringing remains problematic and inconsistent across different applications, to the point that I am feeling dizzy after several hours working on the display. Using this monitor for mainly productive work, this simply does not make sense as my primary display, and I am having to return it.This appears, at first glance, an excellent monitor for image quality. However, for productivity, you have been warned. Text fringing is real, and existing Asus Clear Pixel Edge, etc. is not enough to provide the "crystal-clear text" that it is advertising.
