I have been in an all-out war with my BMW to work through some very mysterious performance failures for the past half year. Sparing anyone the lengthy and unsolved tale to date, I'll just say that I have no explanation for why I (or mostly anyone I know) did not have a multimeter prior to last week, when this slim little magic-worked waltzed into my life and solves 70% of the variables I was having to do frustrating and unconfirmable guesswork for months trying to figure out. How silly of me to have gone to such extents as bootlegging BMW's internal, German-language software, decrypting the password, buying (the wrong) cable to be able to communicate said software to the car, returning the wrong cable and buying the right one, buying an OBD2 scanner to try to get into my car's (clearly insane) psyche, then starting over on my older laptop (because why do new laptops not have DISC DRIVES?!?!), bypassing a security lock that had my car bricked for four entire months by then.... all of this while rotating between installing/uninstalling three different batteries of various brands, never being really sure if it were the batteries (and/or alternators, with their built-in voltage regulators these days) keeping any obvious electrical glitches from being located and individually tested. This multimeter CAN obviously perform more sophisticated and complex determinations, as the dial is loaded with units of power measurement that's WAY over my head. For me, I simply googled to find out which unit I needed to measure for an automotive read, and Google knew enough to provide me with some YouTuber who had just such a video already made to answer my simple question, rather than seeing a pic of the setting needing set on the dial (it's the v with little dots over top!) and since I already know the range of results and how to handle the positive and negative ground.Simply power on by turning dial to read v with dots over it and touch the prongs individually to the pos and neg/ground ... instant readout.I love this tool and regret taking so long to fork over the very little money needed to just buy one! What a relief to finally KNOW now each battery's status at any given point in my lengthy adventure with the nightmare car. 🚗

Product works great. Don't forget , it always reads zero amps , unless you only clamp around only one single AC wire. If you clamp both wires, they cancel each other out. I bought a 1 foot extension cord. Sliced the cable sheath, so I could do lamp only one wire at a time

Great multimeter for the price! It’s accurate, easy to use, and the clamp feature is super handy for quick current readings without disconnecting wires. Perfect for both beginners and pros. The display is clear, and it comes with everything you need, including batteries and a case.

I love this thing. This meter gives you all the info you need make decisions about your electrical use. That is just the amp probe. There is also a full function DVOM involved. If you are looking a quality meter, I suggest this one.
