I just went through a western/flannel shirt binge, trying 4 brands and 6 styles in search of the best for a curvy build. Ariat’s Billie Jean came out on top for me, especially the dobby weaves (like this Folkstone) with a distinctive little design running through. The fit is relaxed but not sloppy, long enough to drape nicely over a fuller bust - that’s hard to find. I’m a size 14/38DD and take an XL in this. The fabric is all cotton with a light nap, made in India, not quite flannel. It’s lightweight enough for spring and looks good worn open over a t-shirt. I’m very careful washing this, using cold water and a lingerie bag in the washer plus hang drying to avoid shrinkage. So far it’s come through 3 washes just fine, with just a light misting to relax the wrinkles. Second in my shirt lineup was Eddie Bauer’s Firelight Flannel in violet, a true midweight flannel. Between the two I should be all set for outdoor music festivals. Except now that I’ve found them, I can’t help grabbing more colors.

I really love the subtle coloring of this plaid shirt. It is well made. The little diamond like white patterned stitching that runs throughout the shirt really stands out and makes this shirt extra special. I wear small as a rule and normally most brands sell sm as a 4-6. this fit me perfectly.

The shirt is well made, and the fabric color very pretty. That is why I repeatedly bought ariat brand. I do not like how amazon has changed returns. I spend time and money going to UPS and now pay for return labels? I need clothes and amazon is smoke and mirrors.
